The hotel was a perfect base for our 3-day visit to historic sites near Royal Tunbridge Wells. Chartwell, Scotney Castle, Ingtham Mote, Bayham Abbey, Chiddingstone, and Hever Castle are all less than 30 minutes away by car. The breakfast was outstanding, and we also enjoyed a meal at the cozy restaurant and pub that is clearly well patronized by local residents, always a good sign. There was ample parking. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly.
The Hand & Sceptre by Innkeeper's Collection has been fully refurbished in 2023, each room has a Hypnos bed with mattress topper, flat-screen TV, desk and is furnished in a modern design.

Staff were very helpful, calling up the day before to try and sort early check in that I had mentioned on my booking form. Breakfast in the morning was a good spread of cooked breakfast to order and continental buffet.

We were there to participate in a Diamond Wedding lunch and the meal was excellent, the function room was spacious. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, the breakfast was good and the whole experience of being there was a delight. The hotel is quite close to the M20 so is easily accessible and although it is just off a main road it feels as if it is completely isolated with lovely views from the bedrooms.

This is a good hotel with nice rooms and surrounding gardens. I think the bar is rather cramped and the service lacked charm. Over all, I thought I got good value for money. I did not eat at Hadlow Manor so cannot comment on the quality of the food.

The location was great, the room was lovely and clean, but the food let this location / stay down. The chaotic breakfast on the second nights stay was terrible!! no order, no choice and running out of all foods and drinks. Only one member of staff on duty.
The staff were excellent, they were so helpful, before and during our stay. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have had and the bed definitely the most comfortable. The location was also great we were attending a concert at the hop farm but also walked into the village and visited Tumbridge Wells.
The hotel was well located for an event we were attending in the area. Our room was in the new wing of the hotel. The bedroom and bathroom is quite dated and old fashioned. However, it is clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly. We did not stay for breakfast.
Our bedroom was roomy and had a bit of character based in the manor house end of the hotel. Good breakfast. We had a private xmas party but then joined a mixed group in the evening for a dance in the larger room, which was a nice extra. Staff very friendly
The room was very dated and in need of some modernisation. The carpet needs changing and the bathroom needs a refurbishment.
The hotel was very noisy from 6am and I didn't appreciate the noise from the exercise class directly outside my window at 8:30am
Our room was large and bathroom was enormous! Very comfortable Hypnos beds, tea, coffee & biscuits in room. Nice and quiet even though there was a wedding party at the hotel. Bar drinks were very reasonably priced and staff extremely welcoming.
Rooms were perhaps a little tired BUT exceptional value for money. Breakfast was good as was dinner at hotel. Two of our party had dietary problems and the Chef was exceptional in ensuring we enjoyed our meal. All staff were exceptional.
Very attractive hotel surrounded by a garden full of flowers -- quite an achievement in the drought. The room was more individual than a lot of hotels and tastefully furnished without a lot of marketing info etc. cluttering up surfaces.
Convenient for us. Bed very comfortable and room a good size.
Shower minimum acceptable.
Breakfast a bit like the shower. Just passed muster.
Staff friendly.
Hotel obviously a "venue" so don't go for a romantic weekend..
Perfect stay for a night in the country to have dinner with friends nearby. We would love to have spent more time exploring the local area as it looked lovely.and the hotel was comfortable.
