The tucked away location was lovely, really quiet, and well signed so was easy to find. Pauline bought out a much needed pot of fresh tea and lovely cake on arrival. A welcoming log burner was ticking over in the guest lounge. Both Pauline and Roger were so friendly, and as farmers ourselves, my husband chatted away with both.... relentlessly! Our room was clean and comfortable. I liked the fact that there was a little fridge in our room with PROPER MILK... hallelujah! It was lovely to fall asleep with the odd moo of a cow in the background. Breakfast was divine. This farmhouse B&B is a REAL gem and unbelievable value for money. We absolutely will be back next time we are up North. Thank you Pauline and Roger.

Accommodation was suitable for our weekend away. We have fab weather so the outside space of the terrace was an added bonus for us to have a morning cuppa and snacks. It is so central to everything so an excellent spot to stay. The owners are very responsive with questions I asked too. It is a very quirky apartment and suited us well for our weekend away.

Its just a beautiful, lots of cafes, pubs, restaurants and quirky little shops. Then some great walks right on the doorstep walk down the Radical steps (I suggest not walking up them unless you are full of energy and value your knees!) then right along the river to Devils Bridge. I cant recommend the Vault at the Tourist information centre, what a brilliant was to show the history of the town and why not visit the Chocolate mine in 'Chocolate'

I’ve been to Kirkby Lonsdale a number of times as my relative lives there.
Loved the brewery, which was a hidden gem. Atmosphere great, log fires and the pizzas looked lovely.
We went to Plato’s for food. There wasn’t much vegetarian choice. Also went to Avanti one night.
Lovely walk near the river and the cottage was very central to all amenities.

This is a charming cottage in a delightful spot right next to the church and in town. We could walk to pubs and shops, which was such fun. Parking varied, but we always found a space nearby. The kitchen was stocked with milk, butter, bread, coffee and even a bottle of Prosecco! The place is cute and cozy with room enough for two people, especially if they are not very tall. Our host was easy to contact and very responsive. We enjoyed our stay very much.
This is a very old building quite quirky plenty of parking when we arrived we couldn’t be more welcomed, although the restaurant was close at the moment due to Covid issues we went for a takeaway arriving back the owner supplied us with all the cutlery and plates we needed we took along our pup as this is a dog friendly hotel and there’s plenty of grass for her to run around. Would we go back YES we would.
Very quirky and quiet considering it was so central. Lovely soft towels, nice balcony area and lots of thoughtful touches by the hosts. We love Kirkby Lonsdale and it was very close to the Royal Barn Brewery and Tap House. We were provided with 2 free beers, freshly ground coffee, milk, teabags etc. Would recommend and return if in the area again.
The apartment is spacious, clean and has great facilities and feels homely. It is in a fantastic location in the centre of Kirkby Lonsdale. The kitchen was well equipped and even though the apartment overlooks a road it is very quiet. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Kirkby Lonsdale as a family and would absolutely recommend
It was an excellent location right on the centre of Kirkby Lonsdale and not far to drive to the lakes.
Right next to a good selection of bars and shops. Apartment was easy to access and had everything we needed for a weekend break. Clear instructions and plenty of information provided about the local area.
We loved the location and being in the heart of Kirkby Lonsdale. We enjoyed being within walking steps to great restaurants and shops. On street parking was very easy, despite our visit during a bank holiday weekend.
Fabulous historic but nicely appointed boutique hotel. Excellent food and lovely welcoming and helpful staff, especially Isaac and Louise. Great pint of Hawkshead Bitter too. Handy for the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales.
Lovely hotel - superb 'sitting room' friendly staff, good food - breakfast choices wonderful. No TVs in the bar areas etc - no loud music, and right in the centre of kirkby Lonsdale! Clean and comfortable rooms.
Staff warm, welcoming and friendly. Nothing too much trouble. Comfortable stay. Fantastic breakfast. Excellent location in Kirkby Lonsdale which is a fantastic place to visit and close to the Lakes too.
The apartment was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Situated in the market square of Kirkby Lonsdale so it's a great base to explore the area. We would stay again next time we visit the area.
Fabulous clean, cosy and warm room overlooking the kirk; delicious dinner and breakfast and fine ale; perfect location for Kirkby Lonsdale; all staff helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
Great location in the middle of Kirkby Lonsdale. The staff were all very friendly especially the Lady who served us breakfast. The breakfast was very good, I’m sure we will stay here again.
Friendliness of staff, cleanliness of accommodation and the very good cooked breakfast. Central position in town so near everything and quiet despite this.
