It was obvious that some upgrading had occurred, but the rooms were still very basic and small. We struggled to fit in two cases. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and it was exceptional. The serves were huge and flavoursome. It was certainly quiet overnight.

We had the Bothy for two nights. The room covered every need we could possibly have.
The sitting area outside was a delight and the local wildlife and farm animals added to the sense of calm.

It has not changed at all since that time and is a beautiful place to visit
being an historic and beautiful yorkshire village which we return to

Lovely high street with plenty of individual shops and choice of eateries. The corner cafe does a nice breakfast choice, Plenty of free parking when I stayed and easy access to the moors and quiet roads for cyclists
Third stay at Juniper Cottage this year. It really is like the pictures. Beautifully decorated and furnished and super comfy beds. Has everything you need. Owner also very kindly provided fresh milk, tea bags, instant coffee and a Nespresso machine and pods as well as a basket full of chocolate biscuits, crisps and sweets. What a lovely gesture. Feel really at home here. Location is superb, right in the centre of Kirkbymoorside and close to restaurants, bars and shops. Plus there's free on street parking. Will definitely return.
This charming cottage is centrally located in the beautiful market town of Kirkbymoorside. The courtyard garden is a little oasis. It is set over 3 floors, which added to it's charm. Close to pubs, cafes and shops. A great base to travel to surrounding towns of Helmsley, Malton and Pickering, plus easy access to North York Moors, and smaller villages. Next door neighbour and her dogs were lovely, considering they live next to a holiday let, and have to accept changeover of guests every other week.
Our stay was wonderful! Our room was very nice with all the amenities shown here. Our bed was comfy and the WiFi was good. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very good and fresh! We didn't get to have dinner there due to the chef's schedule conflict, hopefully next time. The area is quiet. Also, it isn't too far of a drive for any good pubs with good food in the area. Definitely recommend if you happen to be in the North York Moors area. Thank you.
The Cornmill was beautifully kept and furnished. The owners obviously care and work very hard on creating the right look and ambience for their property. Love how they’ve kept the original features of the mill and enjoy showing them off to their visitors.
The breakfast was exceptional and delicious. Our bedroom and en-suite were decorated and furnished to a very high standard - loved the paint colour on the walls and the vintage furniture.
Great hosts, spacious room/suite with the addition of an outside patio and view over the fields.
Lovely breakfasts and a very enjoyable evening meal on our second night there.
So pleased we booked here at the last minute, still amazed that the last room hadn’t been taken!
Short walk into Kirkbymoorside if you like to explore locally without taking the car. Otherwise in a good location to travel further afield, inland or coastal.
Lovely cottage, stylishly decorated. Fully equipped kitchen, great shower, very comfortable bed. We had no parking problems during our stay as we always found a space in the street close by. The cottage is situated in the centre of Kirkbymoorside, with easy access to pubs, shops & the weekly market. Highly recommend this property; we would definitely want to return.
Located in a small village adjacent to the outskirts of Kirkbymoorside it was very quiet and picturesque with easy access to a number of local walks. The welcome pack from the owners and facilities were excellent and the owners were on hand to hand the keys over and had heated the cottage prior to our arrival.
The cornmill was a lovely hotel, great location, local to the lovely village. The hotel was very clean and I loved the touch of leaving us some Easter eggs, that was a lovely gesture. We would definitely recommend it.
We had a wonderful time at this hotel. We travelled over from Middlesbrough to go to Flamingo Land for two days and decided to stay on short notice. We’ve had a great time here. Staff are lovely and friendly
The Cornmill is a lovely, historic B & B run by friendly hosts. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. Good choice for breakfast in a very quaint dining room with a wonderful sense of style.
Breakfast was excellent. Room was so spacious. Good having a fridge, especially in this hot weather. We went on to stay in a 4 star hotel and Brickfields was much better on all counts.
We both had a enjoyable stay walked round the town , plenty of little shops and the hotel was fab , breakfast was very good with a excellent choice . Lovely friendly staff 🙂
