Grovetown Barn was a fantastic find. Nestled in the countryside in Cornwall surrounded by fields, spring flowers and lambs. We were greeted warmly by Fiona and given informative information about the room and area. The room was inviting and well equipped, it was very comfortable and so clean. Lovely views from the room. We had breakfast of fresh fruit, pastries etc, very delicious and a good start to the day! Mum and I had a perfect stay here and recommend it. Thank you Fiona and Grovetown Barn!

We have relatives nearby which we were visiting hence our stay. Launceston is good in parts, not many pubs served food bit it was awash wit takeaways. Not suitable for anyone with limited mobility as the town has steep hills. Tesco etc has killed all the small independents which used to be in the town

Good pubs, Red Lion in Trewint a must. Lovely town centre in Bude, can drive to Davidstowe and Boscastle, amongst other places. Heaps to do, stunning countryside for walks, definitely chocolate box. Typical Cornish town, recommend Francine’s fish and chips for fast efficient service with a smile. The roads are narrow and it can get congested in a car but if you’re on holiday patience is key, enjoy

We were a 20 minute drive from Launceston in beautiful countryside. We used Launceston for self catering shopping. There is a castle, church and narrow gauge steam railway, Launceston is well placed. Suitable for a group of friends or families who like to stay away from the outside noise. In the house it has everything you possibly will need. Is very peaceful area surrounded by different animals and farms, don’t worry there aren’t any stinky smell tho! Is a nice little house that me and my friends really enjoyed for our trip to Cornwall and had a really good time. There is a small shop in the village of Polyphant but it you’re staying for a time you’d probably want to go to Tesco’s in Launceston. We had relatives near by so didn’t require a car, but if you’re traveling to the Shippon you’d probably want one. The Cornish countryside is exquisite and the views from our room didn’t disappoint.ToniCanada
