The village has one pub but otherwise does not have a lot to offer. However there are some very good country walks and it is idealy located for getting around Constable country and visiting Colchester and Lavenham.PeterGermany

I especially enjoyed the food and service in the restaurant, it was delicious and the staff were very attentive. Although I only used the pool area, the wider fitness centre looked good. The facilities at the hotel are wide ranging. Parking was easy. I understand it has a great golf course too...but I don't play.

Although we weren't able to make much use of them with kids and having commitments in the daytime, the gym looked decent and the pool area had a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Also a big fan of the apple and mango soaps and moisturisers 😂

I found the hotel room to be a little dated and corridors looked a little tired and in need of repair. The breakfast standard did not reflect the price of the stay. It was very basic.
