Our room was on the ground floor, a huge bonus as I am unwell. The restaurant and bar areas are very light and airy, we didn't feel closed in, I had to spend the whole 3 days in the hotel with family coming to visit me, so this was important. Food was available all day. A great bonus, with different family visiting at different times, it was not possible to plan meal times. The parking was available to family visiting me which was great.
In 160 acres of formal gardens, Shendish Manor features a leafy golf course, elegant restaurant and scenic countryside views. The manor is in Apsley, just outside Hemel Hempstead.

The staff are lovely and polite. Rooms are clean and bright. This is our 3rd visit and have always recommended your Afternoon Teas. The grounds are magnificent.
