Situated in a lovely rural location with fabulous views: the only sounds were those of birdsong and bleating lambs. It’s the best equipped house we’ve ever stayed in, there was nothing you could hope for that wasn’t available and spotlessly clean. We had a most comfortable and warm stay as the weather was on the cool side. Our hosts were so welcoming and full of information on great walks and days out. We will definitely be back!

I emailed the hotel at the time of booking to confirm I would be arriving late. I did not receive an acknowledgement. We tried calling them all evening while on route but they did not answer their phones. Arrived late and no one around to check me in. Denied receiving email, or getting calls despite screenshots of the call log, no apologies, sympathy and refused to refund for a stay which didn't happen as they can't use their own communication channels.KeceliUnited Kingdom

Very clean with a rustic charm, excellent breakfasts and equally excellent pub food in the evenings. It’s aimed at the budget market so our room was compact but the electric shower was adequate and my picky wife declared the bathroom to be very hygienic. (It was a bit dated so we called it ‘retro’.) Our twin beds were comfy with a selection of pillows, and all of this plus two very friendly, helpful hosts made for a relaxed stay.

Even to the extent that on having a flat tyre on our car they managed to sort it out. although we had a tyre inflator with us it had gone wrong. They went to the trouble of telephoning their son to bring his compressor round to reinflate the tyre very early in the morning. Lovely people!

My spacious room was first class in every way; well-appointed, clean, comfortable, cheerful and with two light windows. Breakfast was superb and the couple running the hotel were delightful. An easy walk across the road and beyond for my dog was a bonus.
