Such a beautiful space, spacious but also cosy. Idyllic and thoughtfully designed indoors and outdoors. The breakfast was delicious and our hosts were so attentive and kind. A really special spot for a quiet weekend escape.

Went into breakfast at 7:30am, there was no one in the queue.
I made myself a tea and saw some colleagues having breakfast, so I signalled that I would join them.
There was no milk, so I asked the lady who arrived to fill up the fruit juices, she said that she would fetch some in a minute. Whilst she was gone, I thought I would put a piece of toast on, to be grilling whilst I waited, and so that it would be ready once I had served myself some bacon and eggs. There was no brown bread available, so when the lady finally finished topping up the juices and returned with the milk, I asked her for some brown bread. Again I was left standing and waiting whilst my tea went cold.
She finally came back but when I went to get breakfast there were approximately 30 people in the queue waiting for cooked food.
Not good.
Also the café area ran out of sandwiches on 2 out of 3 days and again a very long queue with a very long wait whilst customers are served. All I wanted each day was a sandwich and a cold drink, but there was a long wait whilst customers were being served with coffees, paninis and baked potatoes, which all take a long time.
I would have liked to spend my lunch hour talking with colleagues in the sun, not waiting in a queue.
Not good again.

The public areas are bright and airy with nicely spaced tables so you don’t feel on top of other diners.
Decor is very tasteful.
My room was really nice. Tasteful and simply decorated and spacious.

No dinner was available but we ordered take aways to be delivered to the hotel. IOt meant that the six of us in our group could eat together. The plates and use of the orangery was excellent, and the staff were brilliant for facilitating this.
