A quiet and nice village. A good starting point for trips around the area. The "Barn" is actually a house with two rooms and a kitchen and you immediately feel at home in it. The garden is beautiful and well maintained and there is even a small fountain with koi.

The room was superb. A tiny bit noisy because it was on the street side, but the village is generally quiet. We arrived late and had the Big Night In plateau with a pint. Absolutely perfect. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had in a hotel and the food at dinner was one of the best meals I've ever had in the UK as a whole.

Right in the centre of Stow on the Wold which is a lovely town and very well placed for visiting other Cotswold villages. We stayed in one of the little cottages behind the hotel. It was spacious and quaint, clean and comfortable. There was a good choice for breakfast, fruit juice, cereals, yogurts plus a full English with vegetarian version available. It was served hot and was delicious. We also ate an evening meal at the hotel ( garlic bread ( huge) and fish chips and peas. Again both were served hot and were very enjoyable. The bar was busy in the evening with a nice ambience. Everywhere in town is within easy walking distance of the hotel.
