Have stayed here several times and find it very warm and homely. My daughter booked this for me, she got me a cosy standard room and requested it be on the 1st floor as I have arthritis in my knees, this room was on the second floor so they gave me an upgrade to a superior on the first floor which I was most grateful for.

I liked how the person on duty took time to make us a meal, when they had no chef, she was very friendly and surprised me with Broccoli and stilton soup, delicious. Plenty of room in the car park.

The staff were exceptionally helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The bar and restaurant areas were modern and well maintained. The bedrooms were about average size for this type of property but the rooms were exceptionally clean, the bedlinen and pillows were very comfortable. Gluten free food was available at breakfast and in the restaurant and, again not trouble to provide and prepare. Plenty of car parking.

A wonderfully quiet location but only a 5 minute walk from the village pub. Rose Cottage is a very traditional country accommodation with lovely proprietor and a wonderful full English breakfast. It was perfect for my one night stopover. I was even offered space in the garage to store my motorcycle overnight which was a lovely touch. The cottage sits well off the road and the private parking area is well away from prying eyes, so motorcyclists should be happy there.
