lovely village inn, staff very friendly and helpful. breakfast excellent (happy to oblige with an early breakfast so we could set off early on long days hike. location was lovely village with another pub available for evening meal as they werent doing evening meals. They communicate all about possible place to eat before and advised on booking place to eat as limited eating in the village. Pub inn was quaint and dated in a nice way.

The cottage is perfect a real home from home. This was our second stay and have booked for next year. Immaculately clean superb facilities. Gary is exceptional very welcoming and easy to contact if needed.

The tucked away location was lovely, really quiet, and well signed so was easy to find. Pauline bought out a much needed pot of fresh tea and lovely cake on arrival. A welcoming log burner was ticking over in the guest lounge. Both Pauline and Roger were so friendly, and as farmers ourselves, my husband chatted away with both.... relentlessly! Our room was clean and comfortable. I liked the fact that there was a little fridge in our room with PROPER MILK... hallelujah! It was lovely to fall asleep with the odd moo of a cow in the background. Breakfast was divine. This farmhouse B&B is a REAL gem and unbelievable value for money. We absolutely will be back next time we are up North. Thank you Pauline and Roger.

We had a slight confusion with needing a twin room which wasn’t how it was set up on arrival - the Dalesman generously sorted this without a fuss and really made our stay exceptional! Food great.
