A quintessential Northumberland farmhouse home B N B, in stunning countryside. The room was huge, yet comfortable with classical furniture and a beautiful period feel, with all the modern touches. Breakfast was the best I have experienced anywhere. It actually surpassed what we were offered when staying in London at Horse Guards, in terms of the variety on the cooked breakfast menu and on the self serve buffet, and in terms of how delicious and beautifully prepared it was. The breakfast / dining room is like a home set in an Agatha Christie book. The host and overall welcome is warm and friendly.

The hotel is very centrally located to the town and is easy walking distance to a lot of activities. Despite this, our room was on the back of the hotel and it was peaceful and quiet for sleeping.
The room itself was comfortable.

Very convenient for Alnwick attractions, shops, restaurants and pubs. Only stayed one night but would definitely stay again. Very clean and the room was everything you needed. Loved that it was very dark at night - slept extremely well. Thank you.

The room was beautifully decorated and there was cake and a small drink on arrival. There was fruit in a bowl and fresh milk in the fridge in the communal hall. The towels were fluffy and thick. We could take the dog in to the bar to eat. Before we arrived we were called to ask if we would like to book a table as they only had one left. The food was exceptional . The veggie options were limited on the menu so they offered to make me stuffed pepper with risotto wild mushrooms and goat cheese. The desserts were delicious.
The bath was beautiful.
In the centre of Alnwick, this 300-year-old coaching inn is a short walk from Alnwick Castle and Gardens. Its restaurant’s decor was salvaged from the Titanic’s sister ship. Free parking is available....

The B&B is a part of what used to be a farm and is a well built stone building with large and well equipped rooms. There is also a sitting room which is very comfortable if you want to spend time there reading or relaxing. There is a separate room for breakfast and it is about a mile away from the A1 so is easy to access and travel to the coast from .There are several pretty coastal towns nearby though a Satnav is handy to find them!!

We liked the circular walks from Craster, the Anick gardens and the Howick hall gardens too. The trip to the Annick castle was the hi light for both of us.
I cannot say what activities were like for the young couples we are in our eighties and we enjoyed the circular walks we did meet several youg couples also enjoying the walks.
Everything about our stay was excellent, Carolyn was a perfect host , nothing was too much trouble, and breakfast was extremely good with lots of choices.
The hotel was spotless and the room was very comfortable. We shall be definitely retuning for another stay and highly recommend.
The photos don't do it justice. I just wanted to stay! It's a cross between a hotel and a home in all the good ways and I looked forward to getting back in the evenings.
