I went to Hull for a concert in the City Hall. Ibis is only 10 minutes away. The staff are very pleasant and welcoming. My twin room was clean, very basic but had what I needed.

Loved the location - just a 10 minute stroll to the centre of town but on the edge of a lovely quiet square outside the New Theatre. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served swiftly and was very nice. I had asked for a room with a good amount of desk space for working - I was given a free upgrade on arrival which delivered that, and more. The room was very large and well-equipped - robes, safe, iron etc.

Conveniently located in the centre of Hull, the Gilson Hotel boasts free WiFi in all areas, two bars and an on-site gym. Hull Railway Station is opposite the property, approximately 200 yards away.

Location is close to the train and bus stations. On a main road but I didn’t have any problems with traffic noise. Room was spacious and clean and the shower worked. The breakfast was excellent great selection and plenty of it.
