One of the most unique hotels in Perth, set in a 15th century watermill, where you can still watch the water trickling through the original water wheel from the garden, reception area and Lounge Bar.

The location is perfect - right next to the park. The beer garden is beautiful and you can sit and look out over the park. You wouldn't think you were in the centre of Perth. The staff are friendly, approachable and very helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Staying here is so much better than a modern chain hotel. It is full of character and the people really care if you have a good visit.

Scone palace gardens were lovely, but could only go in the grounds due to having a dog, so wasn't allowed in the Palace

The multistorey car park at Kinnoull Street is a disgrace and should be avoided at all costs.
The city itself is compact and pleasant enough. No hills in the city so easy to get about.
Plenty of cafes by the new museum.

Perth used to be the capital of Scotland and has obviously been a very wealthy city. I would have loved to have seen it then.
Unfortunately it is now much like many cities and very run down.
Most things in Scotland are beautiful and I was really looking forward to Perth but found that the surrounding areas were much better than the City centre. So sorry as I would have loved to have said it was great.
Glasgow and Edinburgh are obviously big vibrant cities and I expected Perth to just have a little of this.
Sam is a fantastic host who went the extra mile to make sure we got the most out of our overnight stay in Perth. Sam recommended some places to eat in the city and places to go if we wanted to have a little walk around. The breakfast we had was one of the best myself and partner have had during our road trip around Scotland with the personal touch of a fruit salad starter and fresh baked bread. If we ever stay in Perth again we will be looking to stay here again.
A very cosy room, with very friendly staff and ample parking! The location is very quiet and the Hotel was excellent for catching up on some rest!
It was very quiet, very clean room and not too small. The shower was amazing, and the bed was officially the best stay mattress stayed in Scotland!
Will definitely stay again!
Caroline was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was perfectly prepared and tailored to our dietary requirements. The location was a very short walk from the town centre and we were provided a map with recommended restaurants on it which was very helpful. If we go back to Perth we would happily stay there again.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent for walking around. It's close to everything. I appreciate that it is a pet-friendly hotel and pretty quiet. Also, the darkening window shades were great. There was a breakfast offered, but I opted to go out so can't speak to its quality.
Just a lovely traditional hotel, from check in (we were late ) , the room, breakfast, and our host couldn't have been any better. Very tasteful decor and the situation was so handy for heading south in the morning, what a great find at such a reasonable price, will definitely be back. Thank you.
the room was clean! the hotel is at the city center ! it has not its own parking but it s a public parking (free at nigh) near by! the hotel is the first hotel at Scotland , so just for that the staying in it is an experience! plus dog friendly!
One of the best places i have ever visited in scotland. Exceptionally beautiful location, very quiet and friendly neighbourhood. Very clean and specious property. And last but not least…Morag…5 star host. Would definitely come here again.
The breakfast was good. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel is within walking distance of Perth Royal Infirmary which was useful as my husband was
unexpectedly admitted while we were on holiday.
Having stayed in the one at Ocean terminal Edinburgh last week I knew the one is Perth is good as I’ve stayed before. Very good hotel and well situated, friendly staff and very comfortable.
Lovely Hotel and very nice staff. Was our first time in Perth, and will be going back and would definitely stay at the Royal George. The breakfast was lovely as well x
Guest house appears to be run as an adjunct to the Grampian Hotel next door. The property met our expectation as a budget overnight rest place in Perth
