Close M11 and Stansted.
Close M11 and Stansted. A small village with some local shops. Good location to explore Essex and South Suffolk, lots of things to see nearby. The roads are narrow and there are lots of small villages with speed limits. A popular area for cyclists and bikers.

The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The food was exceptional, would use them again but unfortunately no more events expected in their location. Only negative was the man who helped serve breakfast, he was not dressed appropriately - it looked like pyjamas but likely shorts & T-shirt

The food was really tasty with a fantastic breakfast, locally sourced ingredients throughout We tried to go back the following night when another venue had let us down but the Cock was unfortunately full. I wouldn't hesitate on stating again or recommending it to others.

The only thing I didn't like was the late breakfast time of 9am on a Sunday. This said they did supply me with a take away breakfast. Food was good, arrived promptly and plenty of it.

They accommodated our late arrival, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom/shower was great. So nice to have a shower with a decent power. We also booked to eat in the ‘pub’ side of the Cock. Service was very good. Food and menu options were good for a pub.
