Reception was quick, room was rather smaller than hoped but sufficient for one night. Breakfast was good but served by someone who clearly did not want to be there - no smile or salutation such as "good morning".

I was very surprised by this hotel on my visit and that was because the rooms and bathrooms looked recently refreshed and were lovely. The food at night was also lovely and the breakfast the following morning was very good and with everything on offer you could want to start your day.

Only stayed one night as visiting Thruxton, bed really comfy, felt it had not been hoovered or shower cleaned, had a curtain in the window which could not move as looked out onto the seating area, so made it dark. Plenty of tea etc. Arrived late evening to a warm welcome. Would visit again, as only picky things which we found annoying. Doesn't help as I am a home help and my standards are very high. Cannot comment on breakfast as did not require any food at all.
