Rooms were good size, easy parking, food was good value for money and staff were very attentive. Although we had to ask for things for our room as they weren’t there, the staff were quick to assist. Best nights sleep I’ve had when staying away from home. Sue was great and our little girl Vera had a lovely stay whilst constantly saying ‘hi ya’ to sue.

The landlord appeared to have taken over the day we arrived but that was no excuse for the burnt breakfast offering (they should have done croissants/toast if they were not up to speed) or the fact that this was not offered the second morning or for there having been no room service without any apology or even comment.

Lovely room. Clean with tea/coffee making facilities, smart TV, comfy bed with ensuite bathroom. Lovely staff who waited up to let me in *it was a late booking. Delicious full English breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

The room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. Alison even bought us fresh milk instead of the usual sachets of milk. Plenty of choice for breakfast from continental to the good Devon fry up. The local pub had plenty of choice for an evening meal and we could have walked to it had it not been raining. We are used to driving through country lanes in Cornwall so we weren’t bothered by the narrow lane to get to the cottage. Alison sent us very good instructions for getting to the property.
