The manager was very helpful and kind. The hotel is in a excellent location including for the local buses and central shop / restaurant area.
The hotel is well looked after, solidly built, but the decor is dated.

The hotel itself was great. Everything was above expectation.
Unfortunately, the surrounding is not as good. The street going to the beach lacks a proper sidewalk (quite difficult for children and dogs). Also, some open pipe and nearby buildings unfortunately release very unpleasant smells on the street. To note, this does not affect in any way the hotel, which is clean and perfectly fine.

Nice place to stay, really close to the beach but also to the city center.
Best shower in a hostel, I mean, you really can shower decently.
Great facilities like wash machine, kitchen, wifi, tv, two bathrooms, fridge.

Assos is an everyday Greek town so not a "tourist trap" or a place for clubbing and maybe not for people that want "refinement" (try Nafpoli). Rough around the edges but the people are warm and friendly and it has everything you could need. There is a beach that is pebbly but there is sand further out and it's safe to swim. There are plenty of shops, takeaways and tavernas, some open late and some on Sunday. Ancient Corinth is minutes by car and modern Corinth close too. Corinth railway station is nearby and the parking is free. A return to Athens was 14 Euro each and took an hour. Getting a metro ticket for around 5 Euro each got us to the Acropolis and back pretty quickly. Assos is also a good base for further journeys to Argos, Nafpoli, Sparta, Patra, Tripoli, etc.
