The accommodation is new and located near the beach. The private parking was convenient. The host, Yiotha, was very friendly and helpful. We arrived very late (~11pm), and they waited for us and gave us a very warm welcome on our arrival, and assisted us to carry our luggage up the stair to the room. Our room was of good size, clean, tidy, modern, quiet and well-facilitated. The bed was very comfortable. The swimming pool was nice. The breakfast was excellent, including omelette, fried eggs, a good serve of cakes, pies, pastries, breads, yogurt, fruit bowl, juice and coffee. We are very satisfied with this accommodation.

Great view from the room, overlooking the Castle and next to the beach but quiet... Really liked the breakfast as well - rich and tasty... You can even walk to the castle from there... Mateo's restaurant nearby is great as well

The Medieval fortress of Monemvasia is truly amazing with it’s cobbled streets and alley ways. The fortress and church at the top are a must see but the walk uphill is difficult. It needs to be noted that like all of Greece this place has a lot of ups and downs so you need to have fairly good mobility. But the hmm and authentic architecture is a must see.Much has been restored to it’s original structures. The vistas of the sea is awesome.

An amazing place, very pretty.
An amazing place, very pretty. Worth climbing up the steps, but not for the feint hearted, and wear trainers. I would imagine it gets very busy so would recommend going early. And worth getting the shuttle bus, it’s further than you think.

Monemvasia is a magical place, beautiful and awe inspiring.
Monemvasia is a magical place, beautiful and awe inspiring. As long as you are reasonably fit and mobile there is a lot to explore. A few shops and tavernas, bars, restaurants and cafes to choose from. History oozes from every stone. I did not like to see the horses laden with stone carrying to and from the building works, slipping on the steep cobbled streets. There are workers with trolleys and wheel Barrows to carry your luggage if you want but nowhere is that far away, pack very light though. Parking is restricted so drop off your stuff at the gate and go away to park, or get a bus from the town on the mainland. It's not the easiest plave to access but it is worth it.

Monemvasia needs at least 4 days to be fully appreciated.
Monemvasia needs at least 4 days to be fully appreciated. The hiking trails around the castle and Kalives are often ignored in favor of the castle, which is a crime. The castle is obviously the big attraction here and it's worth it alone. I would suggest staying in Gefira and walking up the castle if you are physically able instead of driving. Skorpios (in Gefira) and Matoula (in the castle) were my favorite places to eat at. By no means should you neglect to try the local wines, especially Malvasia.

It was cool to realize you were staying in something that existed 500 years before you were born, before planes, trains and automobiles... Accomodation was basic, but clean and comfortable. Staying here is about the experience, not the amenities. We really enjoyed our visit. I loved exploring the ruins of the upper town at sunrise. It is a very cool experience.

Unique experience to stay on The Rock!
Unique experience to stay on The Rock! Hike to the upper ruins is a must do, we should have done it upon arrival but waited til the morning of our departure. I would have preferred sleeping in, longer time at wonderful breakfast buffet, and relaxing on our balcony before leaving …. there’s always next time.
The property is in central location, close to the beach and 200meters from the Monemvasia bridge. It was clean and well equipped with coffee machine, a hairdryer, an iron and hotel amenities (shampoo, shower gel, slippers). It was very cozy with nice decoration and the owner paid attention to detail.
The owner (Dimitris) is very kind and helpful. He welcomed us with a basket of fruits, a bottle of wine and waters and in the end he gave us a small souvenir gift as well.
If we go again to Monemvasia, it will be our first choice.
The view of the sea and the Rock from our room was exceptional. The room was quiet, with comfortable beds, spotlessly clean and you could hear the sound of the sea. Plenty of parking out front. Wonderful breakfast. This must be the best value for money hotel in or near Monemvasia. Mrs. Pramataris and her family and staff were very welcoming, super efficient, and to top it all they mailed a package with our forgotten jackets to our next hotel in Greece. Amazing hospitality!
Set in the castle at Monemvasia the hotel is in a unique corner of Greece, down higgledy piggledly paths like something out of a movie.
An excellent base for exploring the town and the area beyond.
The setting for breakfast beneath the barreled ceiling was beautiful.
A family run business, we were welcomed and taken care of whenever we asked for something we needed.
Come with light luggage. You can get help with heavier cases but it’s easier without.
Great personal, great location (and a view), great pool, awesome (rich) breakfast. The rooms were a bit small for 4 people nad the little terrase in front of the room way to little for 4 people. However, all the guests get to be at the poolside all the time where you have all the space in the world :)
The hotel is very near (1,8km) Monemvasia, with cheap supermarket, bakery and other shops in the middle.
Our stay at this hotel was exceptional. When my husband sprained his ankle, the staff's quick response and assistance were incredible. They called the local hospital, ensuring he received prompt care.
Apart from the outstanding service, our overall experience was delightful, with warm welcomes, comfortable rooms, and delicious breakfast.
I Highly recommend Malvasia Hotel in Monemvasia Castle
The hosts decorated a Christmas tree before our arrival and prepared some presents for us.
The fireplace was ready for use and a lot of wood available.
The owner lives downstairs and is very kind and always ready to help even during holidays.
The apartment is really big, and every room has its own balcony with a view to the sea with Monemvasia rock or to the mountains.
Room was large with a good balcony looking to the ocean. Parking behind the house no problem. Staff was nice both in the reception and the bar. Bathroom was nice as well, plenty of space in the shower and good water temperature and water pressure. The hotel is right on the harbor and short walk over to the Monemvasia old town.
This is a fantastic family hotel !!! A really hidden place nearby Monemvasia... amazing view, nice pool, possible to swim directly in the sea, exceptional food and the service is great !!!!! Everyone should book this hotel, impossible to find a better place in this area.
located in the castle and in front of a square next to the see, Theopahno Art Hotel is a great location to explore and walk around the castle of Monemvasia.
The rooms are basic but clean. In our case there was also a nice balcony to sit and relax
Location of the hotel is very good, the breakfast was excellent and the owner is very friendly and he will strive to make your stay very comfortable. He gave us some hints about the area. To wrap up it is a good choice in Monemvasia.
fantastic location, beautiful room, breathtaking view, one of the best breakfast I have ever had in Greece.
Ideal for couples and for those looking for authentic experiences.
Monemvasia was amazing and so was the hotel.
We had a lovely room with 3 beds overlooking the sea and Monemvasia. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff was friendly. Pramataris was a lovely hotel and I would stay again when exploring the area.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The Hotel is in the most perfect location in Monemvasia surrounded by historical attractions! There is also a delicious buffet breakfast in the morning.
Hotel location is very good point just opposite Monemvasia. Parking place, view, clean room fully equipped. The hotel owner’s were friendly, smiling and helpful.
