Gaia-Oasis Abasan Mountain Retreat is one of the most beautiful places I have found in Bali and is most probably one of the last hidden paradises of peace and tranquility on the island.
The vast property lays on a hillside and the buildings are nestled amongst the trees. There is a wonderful scent of Frangipani flowers all over the place. There are different accommodations to choose from, there is a 13-m pool in which extended swimming is possible and the place features Yoga and Meditation halls with stunning views. The main building is the restaurant, where delicious meals are served three times a day and free tea and flavoured water is available all day long.
This place is perfect for people who wish to get away from the mainstream tourism, who love nature and are looking for a way to disconnect from a 24/7 availability. Internet is available in the main building/restaurant.
Everything is very clean and well maintained. What makes the place unique, however, is the people: I met three of the founders and they where very hospitable and made me feel like home far away from home. All members of the staff are very friendly and go to great lengths to make sure their guests are well accommodated.
Thank you Yen, Helen and Mariah for unforgettable moments. Terima Kasih, I will come back.

It’s an amazing property built in an amazing place. It’s remote, mostly due to the complicated access road, but that makes it serene and tranquil. The food on offer is excellent. Some of the best I had in Bali. Staff is amazing. Grounds are beautiful.
Offering an outdoor pool and a tropical garden, the beachfront Villa Selina is located in remote village of Bondalem where guests can snorkel right in front of the property.

Sprawling, lush, forested grounds; varied and comfortable accommodation; gorgeous sea-front location; incredibly kind and welcoming staff. Food was healthy and fresh and delicious. They even took great care of me when I was unwell one day.

Tejakula isnt a shopping area, its peaceful with very friendly Balinese. Everyone was very helpful to tourist and loved having or talking to us they were very welcoming everywhere we went. Hire a scooter its worth it to look around and there is no traffic like Kuta so you know you are safe.

It is a relaxing and quiet place.
It is a relaxing and quiet place. I eat at Gaia Oasis, Warung Seni and some locals. My hotel helped me to organise a daily body massage and do some tours around including Singaraja, Air Sanih, Art Zoo that fully recommend. Also, it is a good location for a trip to Mt Batur. Les waterfalls are very close for a short trip. It is a very safe place.

Jay and his small team are the perfect hosts.
Jay and his small team are the perfect hosts. I do not have the words to describe the appreciation I have to be honest.
I'm a seasoned traveler and have been all over the world in many properties with many hosts and Jay and his team are by far the best I have had the pleasure of meeting. Not only did I meet a host, but most likely a life long friend along with Koma (sorry for miss-spelling) for her perfect attentiveness and genuine willingness to ensure your stay is perfect.
This is one of the best hotel experiences we have had in 50 years of traveling. What a beautiful spot with a great room with a view. I loved lying in bed and looking at the pool and ocean. There is a one-minute walk to be in the sea with a lot of beautiful fish. The food was made with love and a smile. This was so relaxing that we are considering coming back for a month. It is also really good value. The snorkeling was way better here than are other snorkeling hotel in Cebu.
I literally love everything about this place! The bed and pillows and zero noise barrier to your neighbor may be bothersome to some...But honestly, the place is so magical and beautiful even that didn't bother me. I live in Bali and will be frequenting this place for sure. Albiet BYOP (Bring Your Own Pillow) ... but hey... I'm a pillow snob! I had a facial and hair treatment with Trisna that was divine.. And a massage the next day with Sri that was also great!
The place was superb. We nearly had the resort to ourselves. Pool and beach are perfect. Whole site is beautiful.
Staff sometimes was a bit slow and had communication problems. Nevertheless, it all worked out in the end.
Kitchen is very good. Food was always perfect.
In this place you need a good kitchen because except of the hotel there is no restaurant or anything else in the area.
The accommodation was set within a beautiful garden with Balinese sculptures and a pool. The rooms were sympathetically designed to allow visitors their own privacy. I loved the attached large outdoor bathroom with shower, greenery and bathtub. The shower had hot running water, and the rooms were very clean. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly.
Good location, good design, fairly clean, local staff, restaurant and food could be better for hotel level like this.
Spa is beautiful design, but I got not luck with therapist, she did massage like obligation, I feel not rest after massage. Also, they need to check quality of the oil testers, some of them is rank.
Very comfortable, the usual, wonderful, Bali welcome, taken on a bike to beautiful local waterfalls, excellent restaurant and just facing the sea! Step down when the tide is gentle to have a wonderful swim. Interesting to watch the method to extract sea from the sea. Friendly, undeveloped Bali fishing community.
Quiet and relaxing, beautiful grounds and very close to beach. Lovely pool and on site massage (need to book). Delicious restaurant (Warung Seni) down the track with Balinese and Western dishes. Wonderful staff. Perfect for kids … lots of space to run around and explore
The villa is exactly like in the pictures, it is beautiful and very comfortable. The location is perfect for a remote getaway to experience true authentic Bali. I would absolutely visit again. The host was very responsive and kind. I loved every bit!
Stunning hotel, better than the pictures, with lots of palm trees and the sea just there. Half board food (breakfast and dinner) were ok. Staff was always nice and helpful, they even agreed to change my initial room, so extra points for that.
Beautiful serene environment in rural north Bali. Perfect location for more authentic Balinese experience in a traditional community. Owner has excellent English and happy to involve you in local experience. Clean, peaceful and a hidden gem.
Quiet location. Had a kitchen facility and dining area. Good size pool. Individual bungalows provided privacy. Would be good for a small group as it is more like a private villa than a hotel or homestay.
Gede gave me one of the best services in Bali. When he find out I dont eat white bread he brought brown bread and capsole coffee. He amazing to talk too, and we had great conversation. Best stay, do come
Amazing location highly recommend to get away from the tourist hubs. We Imagine this was what Bali was like 20 years ago. Massages one of the best we had on our month long stay in Bali. Cool sea breeze.
The upgraded me to the villas because some parts of the hotel are under restoration. The villa was wonderful I really love it, have my own swimming pool and the food they serve is delicious.
great place for family vacation, more beautiful than what you see in the pictures. the stuff is helpful and friendly. for sure if I come again to Bali this is my first choice.
this is a delightful hotel, created with love and beauty in every detail. Delicious food and coffee, comfortable bed, attentive staff, silence and ocean.
