Absolutely love bettystown !
Absolutely love bettystown ! Small town vibe where everybody knows everyone and yet they welcome you to events and the crowd where ever you go. Beach is fab for a morning stroll while watching the horses trot along with their trainers ! Must visit destinationFionaIreland - 10Scored 10
A nice seaside village with one main street and one hotel...
A nice seaside village with one main street and one hotel which has a bar and accommodation. The beach is picturesque, safe and lovely for long walks. It is so flat that they run horse races along it a couple of times per year.

Bettystown has a lovely beach - it is a quiet location which is convenient to Drogheda and a lot of other local attractions. The village itself is a bit tired with a lot of places closed. Sure we were there mid-week (end of June) but it seemed a bit sleepy. The weather was lovely - sunny and warm. Our food & stay at Reddan's was great. Would highly recommend. The man working at the Funtasia casino booth seemed like we were bothering him to ask 1 question or to get change. So we didn't stay. There were about 6 or 7 ppl in the place. You would think he would try to be more pleasant & not discourage the few customers he had. I was the only person in the area where the tipping point games are, with occasionally a few young teens running about. If your looking for a quiet get-a-way this is it. I think the kids would love the games area.
