I want to go back.
I want to go back. A wonderful old house in the country, not far from Aughrim. Beautiful countryside, amazing views from the house. The house is immaculate and interesting. Svetlana and Jeff have loved this house and it shows. Everything is chic, unique and amazing. This is not a hotel it is a piece of history and is so comfortable. I am going back in the summer to lounge on the deck and watch the sunset over the wicklow mountains.

Aughrim lovingly maintains its status as a beautiful Tidy Town. It is also friendly and provides all of the basics. More dining options are not far away in and around Arklow on the sea. The walks in and near the village are stunning, and run the gamut of difficulty.

Delicious omelette for breakfast, full pot of cafetière coffee, friendly but discreet staff. Room was cool but heater provided, shower head couldn’t be adjusted but water was piping hot. Would definitely return. The perfect place to take a moment, clear one’s head and re-oxygenate. Aughrim village nearby is very pretty, but no reason to go there unless you need petrol or a few groceries. Need a break from the rat race? Clone House.

The lodging is part of a working farm and we were delighted to see the new lambs in the adjacent fields.
