Excellent buffet breakfast with friendly and helpful staff. Evening meals (at Euro 45 pp) were very adequate but the menu - apart from a choice of fish - barely changed each evening. Thus, after two evenings, I felt that I had fully "explored" the menu and sought an alternative in Castlebar.
Westport Glamping is situated 5 km from the Westport on the Wild Atlantic Way. Doon Angus Farm is 20.7 km from Croagh Patrick mountain. It offers views of the surrounding countryside.

The little cottages are very cute and well-equipped, Mary and Martin are excellent hosts, who showed us around the area and gave us some amazing recommendations.
The animals on the farm, including a little foal called "Bruce" , a very friendly dog and cat and some lambs are also a big plus.
The common rooms are super big and nicely equipped too, with a pool table and everything.
I'd come back there anytime to spend some more time in the area.
It's also a very good "base camp" to go and hike Croagh Patrick or drive a bit further up to the Achill Islands.
There is also a bus stop quite close to the farm, which runs until 22:47, a very good option to explore Westport and the local pubs without having to drive.

We had a lovely stay at the Garden Gates. The hosts were brilliant and so accommodating. The place was so clean, nicely decorated with lovely garden views. It had everything we needed and the hosts left items for breakfast which was so thoughtful and appreciated. A short car ride to Westport location was very handy and also so peaceful and quiet. Will defo stay here again if going to Westport and would defo recommend.
In peaceful, scenic surroundings, Rocksberry House is only a 5-minute drive from Castlebar’s centre. Guests can enjoy fishing with free use of the house’s angling boats on the nearby lake.
