I believe India's fourth largest populous city, so it's huge. Liked the Tuk Tuk rides in crazy city traffic. The museums were good plus amazing Hindu temples. The general vibe of a large Indian city. Felt always safe.

Must visit. People are warm. Culture is open ended.
Must visit. People are warm. Culture is open ended. Malls especially amba is my all time favourite. Had food from mainly vegetarian restaurants. I would avoid taking taxi next time as public transport is still perfect in chennai. Getting around in taxi and auto is faster in this city. You can take a walk even in the night as people are respectful towards fellow human beings.

Beautiful place and nice people, though it was said, they only talk in Tamil, I found it incorrect coming from North India, they helped, in trains, taxi, Ola etc. Nice food. Good beaches, very good traveling measures, nice places around Chennai too.
Only it was hot for me...

Chennai is a surprisingly modern city in that its facilities and modes of transport are smooth and seamless. The metro is very convenient. The residents of Chennai, especially at their professions, have a pleasant professionalism and competence. While Chennai is warm, it isn't uncomfortably so.

Chennai is a huge, noisy, dirty city with horrendous traffic and very few tourist attractions. We only stayed there for a night at each end of our trip as we flew into and out of Chennai airport. I wouldn't bother spending any more time there than is necessary for transit to be honest.

Shopping in Chennai is good, but due the on going metro phase 2 works the city is conjusted with hravy traffic. As the city itself is connected with the sea the climate particularly now is very hot and humid
We went to the hotel way ahead of the hotel check in time. The front desk staff made sure that I was comfortable in the lobby till my room was ready and also explained about the do and don’t while visiting the US embassy which is only walkable distance from the hotel. I was given a late check out with additional charges which was very convenient as I could take proper rest before heading towards the airport. Tanveer, seni Pooja and Prathap were some of the staffs who had taken excellent care of me during my US interview at Chennai
I was actually so scared with so many fake reviews in many hotels in Chennai. (Especially OYO, terrible hotel I've ever had...) But this hotel was a REALLY GOOD ! I can recommend to everyone ! :D
Very well maintained and very clean room & bathroom. Even common space was very clean and hygienic. The receptionist was very kind and helpful, they are the best receptionist in Chennai among my experience.
There are so many restaurants around the hotel, I will definitely come back here if I'll have an occasion.
The ambience, water based Rajasthani leisure stay which included the longest pool with water fall and private clean seafront with perfect landscaped lush garden was awesome . Rahul at the reception was completely with us in getting the right room of choice , our anniversary celebration and mellowed us down from the hectic city life !
The housekeeping was perfect , food tasty and the evening complimentary high tea with Rajasthani folklore was the best ..
Kaldan is the in thing on ECR...
Be there !
I reached Chennai from Bangalore after 7-hr drive at 1 am and saw the gate was closed. Called the manager and the manager on duty simply refused to accept the fact that there was a booking under my name despite me sharing my booking confirmation ID and just chased me out. This was perhaps the worst experience I have ever seen. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. If you want to book for a hotel in Chennai, please find yourself some other place than this place.
The room was lovely. The staff were courteous and attentive, especially at the dining area. I had a non-veg club sandwich and a cold coffee, both of which were wonderful. The spread for breakfast is very good. This is my fourth stay at Radisson Blu and I feel that I would like to definitely return to this hotel on my next trip to Chennai.
This hotel is conveniently located near Express Avenue Mall and Sankara Nethralaya Eye hospital.
The staff and the location. Everyone in the hotel was very warm and respectful, specially one of the staff Akila was very friendly with our 1 year old and made our stay even more pleasant. The hotel is located right at the heart of the shopping district. The food was very good, and that was the only place my 1 years old was able to eat without any issues through the 5 days we stayed in Chennai
Staff were very accommodating and responsive to my check-in/out requests, quite commendable. Room is cozy enough, and bathroom is adequately sized. The breakfast is limited but is filling enough. The hotel is located fairly well, with a few nice restaurants down the street, a few kilometers from Marina Beach (and some monuments), and a few minutes' drive from Chennai Central Metro station.
I book rooms in Chennai for my clients. And the service at this hotel is amazing. Exceptional customer service, with a commitment to making my guests comfortable, the staff are so nice and helpful. Special mention to Ms. Pratibha. The rooms were well-maintained, beds were exceptionally comfortable. The rooms were well-furnished and equipped. Enjoyed the food at breakfast.
I was recommended this hotel by my friend, who lives 2 homes down. I was in Chennai for a quick 2 day visit and wanted something in TNagar. I would really call this more a service apt meets hotel. What I liked
- well styled room with a comfy bed
- good washroom with an incredible rain shower
- very clean (maybe because it was also very new)
- professional staff
Recently stayed at Prime Mahalaya Residency and believe me it was my best and wonderful stay. Staffs are very helpful. There are many shops near by to the hotel. The location of this hotel is very prime, you can easily get rickshaw to roam in the beautiful city of Chennai.
hotel staff particular reception girl .My wife and I often stay at this hotel when we come to Chennai ,The girl at the reception often looks at my wife as a model and I don't like it at all.If a guest comes to your hotel, treat them well and that's enough
The hotel is very close to Chennai Airport.
It’s very clean and modern. The bed is extremely comfortable.
Lots of little extras such as water, fruit, snacks.
