The view from the cottage was amazing. Everything was very clean and orderly when we arrived. The booklet for the cottage was very helpful. When I needed something, the owner was very quick to respond and very helpful.

Accommodations are outstanding as are the delicious dinners and breakfasts prepared by our hosts. People from around the world visit here and share their experiences. The surrounding area is a place of astounding natural beauty and offers an array of activities: textile museum, hiking, nature baths, horse riding, and sight-seeing.

Amazing sea views. Great breakfast. Ate dinner at another establishment in town that was very good. If we stayed longer we would have eaten dinner at the hotel. The room was gorgeous. Loved the roof window. It even had a bluetooth speaker that sounded great. We could have stayed much longer if we had the time. Blonduos is a quiet and beautiful little town with much history.

Nice little bridgehead town with various services. A good base to travel from. Various choices of good day trips, e.g. around Skagi and Vatnsnes peninsulas, Skagafjörður district and the scenic valley of Vatnsdalur. Blönduós is also a good staring point for a highland drive across Kjölur to Reykjavík.

Breakfast was fabulous; it included a wide variety of meats (included smoked salmon), jams, bread, cereal, etc. Our room was cozy with a very modern bathroom, a couch, and beautifully furnished. We really loved the attention to detail. All the staff were so friendly and inviting, it made us feel right at home.
