The room I slept in had possibly the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. Cannot recommend it enough and I wish we could have stayed longer. The hot tub was spacious and the living room and kitchen had everything you might need. The bathroom was modern and very clean.

This was my favourite stay across Iceland. The guesthouse and rooms are absolutely stunning - feels like a traditional B&B, and you can see family and local history throughout the house too. The location is quiet and peaceful, but still only 10-15min drive to shops, supermarkets, etc.
Since it was the off-season, there were no other guests during my stay, so I had the entire guesthouse to myself. Only stayed one night, but saw the most amazing sunset and woke up to snow the next morning!

The owner is really nice, he explained us the most important things we could visit near the guesthouse. The room is nice but a little bit oldfashioned.

The owner is incredibly nice, the rooms are super confortable and clean. If you want to eat lamb, she selects the lambs herself and knows how they are raised and killed. The fish is caught by her son. Very nice place and people!

The house is not luxurious but it’s very clean, neat, and well-equipped. Most equipment seems pretty new. Also, the house is spacious, full of light, and offers stunning views over the fjord and the mountains.
The neighbourhood is very quiet, and there’s plenty of parking.
Title: A Perfect 10-Star Escape at Saudafell Guesthouse!
Title: A Perfect 10-Star Escape at Saudafell Guesthouse!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Saudafell Guesthouse, and I must say, it was an absolutely perfect experience. In fact, I would have loved nothing more than to extend my stay indefinitely!
From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcome. The hospitality here is second to none, and it's evident that the hosts go above and beyond to make their guests feel at home. But the real highlight of my stay was the breakfast shared with the host. It was not just a meal; it was an incredible experience that was both delicious and entertaining. The stories and conversation that flowed were delightful, and it felt like spending time with an old friend.
Saudafell Guesthouse is situated on a beautiful farm, and being there felt like a true escape. The picturesque surroundings, complete with grazing sheep and the company of lovely border collies, were simply amazing. It's an opportunity to immerse yourself in the authentic, rural way of life. The hosts are true people of the land, and they graciously open their world to their guests. It's a rare and unforgettable chance to participate in their lifestyle.
If you're looking for an exceptional, heartwarming, and immersive experience, Saudafell Guesthouse is the place to be. I can't recommend it enough. This is more than a place to stay; it's a journey into the heart of Icelandic hospitality and countryside charm. A perfect 10-star escape, indeed!

This was a wonderful first stop during our 10 day Iceland...
This was a wonderful first stop during our 10 day Iceland trip. This is a guest house on a family farm. It was spacious and very comfortable. The owners have added a new hot tub which now sits overlooking the mountains and the sunset - a perfect way to end a long travel day.
The kitchen was very well equipped and washer and dryer was in the bathroom. Beds were extremely comfortable. The owner has games, books and Iceland travel info.
We did not get to stop at the store as we were later arriving and set off early but its easy to access. The owner was quick to communicate and we really enjoyed our stop.
