Stella and Antonio were the best hosts you could wish for. The food provided was excellent. It is in a beautiful location midway between Palermo and Trapani/Erice.

Very nice well kept Hotel which is in the central of the town, staff very friendly and helpful 👍, I was provided a lockup garage for my moto which appreciated so much. The only thing I could ask for improving is that since in March was very hot weather the temperature is controlled from a central unit not from the room and couldn't turn it to cool instead of heat, but this is a drop in the ocean WELL DONE HOTEL CENTRALE I will be back.

The hotel has its own hot spring feeding with thermal water not only their spacious swimming pool (permanently maintained at a really amazing temperature) but even showers in all rooms. Breakfast and dinners are served in their own restorant and are quite good. Some spa facilities (massage, hot mud etc) are also proposed. The immediate surroundings of the hotel are not really enchanting, but if you come with a car you will be able to visit a number of very interesting sites located just a few kilometers from there: the archeological park of the antic Segesta, with its Greak temple and theatre, and also a small thermal lake hidden in the forest... Yet, there is a railway station nearby, with 3 or 4 trains per day.
We really regret of not having a longer stay there, and we'd like to come back indeed.

I should probably start from the history of Tarantola - spectacularly entwined with that of Sicily - I read Filippo's book in combination with a day trip to Castelvetrano which gave a lasting and real perspective of the formative years. Filippo was beyond helpful in helping me figure out transportation and day-trips as I did not rent a car. Getting to Tarantola was an adventure, right at the top of a mountain surrounded by slopes upon slopes of grape vines. I imagine that during harvest there will be plenty of action to participate in. I visited just after planting so it was a lull period, but there was plenty of wind, sun, clouds and rain to enjoy the elements of nature. I was able to walk and enjoy the farm, the farmhouses, watch the wind turbines not so far off and interact with the staff. Francesco was a real joy to meet and befriend, he let me try my hand at making busiata and then cooked it for my dinner! Meal times are massive, you will be stuffed.

The town is close to Segesta, an amazing set of ancient ruins including one of the very few intact (and no rebuilt) greek temples in the whole Mediterranean and a wonderful theatre from well over two thousand years ago.

No every single fruit of living in Alcamo had a chance to be discovered. We did not see The Natural Park of Alcamo, but both Palermo and beauty of Zingaro seemed to be more attractive to accomplish. Small city with a vicinity of Castellammare del Golfo/Scopello and its breathtaking views and beaches is worth to be place of accomodation.

The google map shows wrong position - you can think you will be right next to the railway and roaring trains.
The reality is that the room is in the middle of the quiet gardens. Our car was safe behind two gates.
The room is amazing! Very spacious, nice, clean and cozy. Kitchen corner or bathroom equipped fine.
We loved it so much we had to extend our stay. The owners, Nadia and her husband are very kind and nice people.
I absolutely recommend this stay.

A beautiful town, with long central shopping street and a huge pedestrianised square lined with bars and restaurants .It was very lively over the weekend with a great a atmosphere.Close to the coast for visits to the seaside.
Beautiful apartment, very tastefully furnished, looks better than in photos, in an amazing reconstructed castle like building. It has airconditioning and everything we needed, including a grill outside. The bathroom was very clean and large, and the kitchen also had everything we needed. The owner was incredibly nice and helpful. You need a car - Castallammare beach is about a 20minutes drive, the closest shop is a 6 minutes drive (in Alcamo).
Delicious breakfast typical for this region, cold and hot depends what you like: panini, croissants, sandwiches etc.. and fantastic italian coffee (espresso, lungo, cappucino) directly made by barista because hotel's guests eat in the pasticeria/caffeteria with other citizens, mostly with inhabitants :). It was funny to spend time among inhabitants.
Special thanks to Marika for her smile and hosptiality :))
The hosts were absolutely fantastic and extremely hospitable and caring. When we needed a wheelchair, they got it for us free of charge and when we left they packed us a great lunch. They were very helpful if we needed advice. The place was cozy with very nice facilities and close to a great beach with warm, clean water and near a sweet authentic city called Alcamo.
Perfect stay, perfect host. Thank You agein Sofia. The room and the bathroom are very clean. Check-in super easy even we arrived after 11PM. The location is on the entrance to city center, very close to everything. Free parking. The breakfast was amazing. Would definitely come back when back in Alcamo. Thanx again!
Great location for day trips. hotel is an old building retrofitted into a hotel meaning some oddly configured rooms and lots of stairs. Solid walls means great sound insulation but not so good for wi-fi, which was a problem. Breakfast was good and restaurant staff very friendly and helpful.
Good kitchen, flat has most of what we needed. Nice that parking is free. Good pizzerias around the town, menus available in the flat. Alcamo is not far from the airport, and close to a beautiful small mountain. Bed and pillows are memory foam which was also nice. Big fridge and freezer.
Almost centrally located in old part of Alcamo. Beatiful apartment in old and well renovated building. Everything that you may need was there in the facility. Everything working well inlc. very silent aircondition. Stunning view from huge terrace overlooking the sea. Highly recommended!
The B&B is strategically located to explore Alcamo. The room was modern and clean. Breakfast was really good - homemade pastries and cakes were available and were simply amazing! Oh, and breakfast is with a view of the whole town since it's on the terrace of the B&B.
Well, due to flight cancellation we had to find a place and i booked there as the offer was interesting, thsi si a nice hotel, rooms are great and we appreciate the jaccuzzi on the roof.
there were a parking just close the hotel
Beautiful setting in the middle of vines. Warm welcome by Filippo. We loved the wine produced on the property and the food was delicious, Sicilian cooking at its best using local products. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Wonderfull place, we enjoyed our stay at Giovanna Casa very much. Good location in Alcamo, Giovanna was always available if needed, everything we wanted was available
