Hotel Costa Azul, hotel in Balestrate

Hotel Costa Azul is 150 metres from the nearest beach on the Castellammare Gulf, and 1.5 km from Balestrate centre. Air-conditioned rooms offer a veranda and a 32’’ LCD TV.

The hotel is located in a quiet area with two very good restaurants nearby. 5 minutes driving to the nearest town with lots of nice food places, markets and 5 minutes driving to beautiful Balestrate beach. Room was very clean. Breakfast was simple but always fresh - especially delicious fresh croissants served with very good coffee. Great swimming pool - very clean with shower outside and very comfortable sun loungers. Very friendly staff. 30 minutes driving to Palermo airport and 45 minutes driving to Palermo city. Not a lot of tourists around more local people which makes the whole experience very genuine. Highly recommend!

OrangeBalestrate, hotel in Balestrate

Situated in Balestrate, 28 km from Segesta and 21 km from Segestan Termal Baths, OrangeBalestrate offers barbecue facilities and air conditioning.

Just wanted to drop a quick review about our stay at Orange Balestrate – it was awesome! First off, Roberto, our host, is a gem. Super kind and went out of his way to make sure our stay was top-notch. He even took us around Balestrate, showing us the best spots and giving us the lowdown on all the cool shops and restaurants nearby. The room was spacious, cozy, and had everything we needed (Kitchen, Bathroom, Living room) There's even a washing machine, so no need to stress about dirty laundry piling up. There is also the sunny balcony which is perfect for drying clothes and just soaking up some rays. Balestrate itself may be small, but it's got heaps to offer. The locals are friendly as can be, and the whole vibe is just so chill. If you're after a laid-back holiday in Palermo, staying with Roberto at OrangeBalestrate is a no-brainer. Seriously, highly recommend it! We would definitely visit again 😍😍.

Balestrate is a lively small Sicilian town 30 drive from Palermo airport (Pmo). It is a good starting point for exploring Palermo and west parts of Sicily. The beach seemed a bit abundant but we were there out of tourist season. Rental car is essential as there is so much to explore, from beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters to traditional Sicilian villages and hiking opportunities.

    Nice, rather calm town.

Nice, rather calm town. Typical colorful houses, narrow streets, swuare with historic church. They have at least few restaurants with typical, fine cuisine (try disiu pizza - perfect pizza; siculish - artisanal sicilian cuisine; cia vuru ri tradizioni - suprising restaurant with great atmosphere, food and interior). Beach is broad and accessible for swimmimg, a bit not clean (some plastic bottles, etc.), but maybe during the peak season they clean it better (I hope). We had great time, proces are affordable (cafe/restaurant). You may easily reach the town from Punta Raisi by public transport or use private transfer (public transport for 4 person is ca. €30 / private transport €35 booked in Balestrate Jumbo car rental).

    Small quiet town.

Small quiet town. Between Palermo and Trapani. 30 minutes car drive to Palermo airport. Good for making trips to Erice, Palermo, Segesta, Monreale. Trafić was not bad at all. Instead of going by car you can take a bus.

    Balestrate its nice small town.

Balestrate its nice small town. There is plenty of shops, pubs, bars and restaurants. There are nice small bakeries which amazing Sicillan bread straight from the oven. You will have choice of lovely Sicilian food to try like sweet pastry, sandwiches, pasta and sea food. If you thinking of visiting other parts of Sicily you will need to rent a car as there isn't much of public transport, only a train but not very reliable. There are few beaches in Balestrate. There is also night life in Balestrate with live music and also disco on fresh air for younger population on Friday night. There are boats to hire in Port of Balestrate. People are very friendly and helpful with not many tourists from abroad.

The town is just beautiful, we were there at a quiet time of year in March and whilst quiet during the day it comes alive at night! The restaurants are fantastic and the people are super friendly and accommodating! It has everything you need with you having to leave if you so wish! We travelled to all the towns in the vicinity and Balestrate is definitely the most beautiful!

Perfect vacation spot to get away from the hustle and bustle .Ideally located for visiting the North coast . Great size town , not too big , not too small. You'll find food to go or mini markets nearby. And a few restaurants etc,, Or else drive 5 km to Alcamo for bigger supermarkets. Great home away from home . Hate to leave . Will be back !!!

The Owner Anna was honestly the nicest kindest host you could wish for. The room was large and had everything you need including cooking facilities shower and washing machine which was great! You can see the sea from the window and the beach is just down the hill. We hired a car and explored the west side of Sicily but the town of Balestrate is great, lovely and traditional with lots of excellent coffee shops and bakeries. The hotel opposite offers spa facilities so had a massage €60 for 50 mins which was not bad compared to uk.

Apartment was perfect for our family needs. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped & in walking distance from the beach & many shops & restaurants. The air conditioning was great and beds were very comfortable. The host was second to none He could not do enough for us. The neighbours in the area are very friendly and there is a great sense of community. If you are going to spend more than a few days here car hire is worthwhile & we got great value with Stella rental in balestrate

It’s a newly refurbished properly, tastily done. Comfortable beds, nice shower. Quiet street yet very close to the main street of Balestrate. Owners super friendly, responsive and happy to help. We were greeted with a nice bottle of wine, water, and there were few other soft drinks in the fridge. Also olive oil from their cousin, which we ordered more at the end. All in all, fantastic place and would love to go back there again someday.

Friendly, hospitable hostess; obliging and very helpful. The location was very convenient with good beaches 10 min drive away. Comfortable apt, all conveniences provided. The outside private patio was a bonus. A 'local' feel to Balestrate and a refreshing break from the busy Palermo swarming with tourists. Great local restaurants. Highly recommended.

A great place to go from to both Palermo (1 hour) and Trapani (1 hour) and look at West Coast beaches. To the airport for 30 minutes. Number wide. Available heating needed during the autumn season. Next to the house, a cafe with Sicily delicacies (both on-site and on-house), and a shop next to it. "You have to go to the beach with a car.

The staff were all lovely and made sure that we had and understood everything we needed. The location is right in the middle of Balestrate, so it was very easy to get around. The recommendations from all staff, including the local taxi (Milton) and all their food recommendations were perfect. The spa experience was truly lovely.
