The owner was very friendly and helpful. Offered free bicycles that we could use (which was very nice).
The room was very clean, with all necessities, even extra blanket and pillows.
The mattress is hard, which for us was a great thing as we are used to it and it helped us to sleep comfortably.

The breakfast was amazing. All of the staff were incredible - Angelo, Francesca and Manuela made us feel so at home, while also making it feel like a luxury experience. The room was rustic and stunning. Although it rained while we were there there was an amazing hot tub overlooking the lake and we enjoyed hot coffees and later Prosecco outside and took in the views. It is a very special place with authentic rustic luxury, also we loved being away from the hectic touristy area of Varenna- it’s super close for a day trip via ferry or train, but if you are looking to relax this is definitely a better option.

An amazing property that couldn't be closer to the lake, the host was super helpful, friendly and willing to guide us with our random tourist queries. I totally recommend to stay in the property if you want a place next to the water and at a short distance from local amenities.

We stayed here because we read reviews of the crowds not being as heavy as other towns, and it's true! Bellano has a more "local" feel and much less crowded, but still busy on the weekend. It's an amazing little town with access to other lake towns. Wish we had more time there.

Fabulous property and host!
Fabulous property and host! Giovanni went above and beyond to welcome us and answer any questions or concerns, both before our arrival and during our stay. The views of the lake are just stunning and we loved sitting out on our own private terrace with a glass of wine enjoying our surroundings. The location is quiet and secluded, but walkable to town, the ferry, and the train station. We were able rent a boat right in the town and enjoyed exploring the lake on our own. Beautiful Orrido and Cascata are two "must visits" in Bellano for ones loving nature. The SS36 motorway nearby makes your travel with car very easy alongside the whole Eastern part of the lake, meanwhile the rest of the roads along the lake can be full of traffic jams. This to be considered if you chose your location to sleep during the night but travel to explore different venues during the day.CsanádHungary - 10Scored 10

We would highly recommend staying in Bellano. It was convenient to other villages on the lake and we could be away from the crowds. It was a charming town with great restaurants. The ferry service was most convenient to Bellano. We were able to travel around the lake easily and looked forward to coming back to our bit of paradise in Bellano!Festa - 10Scored 10
Our group really liked Bellano.
Our group really liked Bellano. We were looking for a smaller town that was not over-commercialized or overrun with tourists, but not so small that there was nothing to do and the dining options were limited. In Bellano we found nice restaurants & we were particularly fond of the places adjacent to the water where we could dine and watch the lake traffic. The ferry schedule was a bit confusing but we figured it out spent some time on the water as well. In all, Bellano was what we were looking for and we were very happy with our choice. It’s not as busy as other popular towns in Lake Como so you can actually relax and take the ferry to where you need to go. The staff were by far the favourite part of our stay. Our room was the perfect size for the two of us. View of the lake was unparalleled. This was a 12 min walk from the train station and 6 min walk to the ferry stop and “downtown” Bellano. Hot tub was nice on the water, breakfast included was tasty. The restaurant connected to the hotel was awesome as well, and all the workers were incredibly helpful. Was super clean and comfortable. Loved it and would stay again. It was a 15 min walk mostly uphill from train station which was fine for us but might need to be considered if anyone is not able to walk up hill. Busses run but not regularly. Bellano location is great to access other places too!

Fresh sheets and towels every day was also a big plus. People in Bellano tend to know English quite well and Bellano itself has some nice cafeterias and little shops but it is easy to go to Varenna and Bellagio for more options. The beach in Bellano close to the center is small but very nice.
