I've always enjoyed my visits to Fano. Nice coffee houses and eating places. I picked the day that a cycling event was happening, so difficult to get around until it was cleared away. I've been to the town many times, that says it all... Until the next time.PeterUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10
Fano is a really lovely place.
Fano is a really lovely place. It offers art in the form of a museum and Foundation which runs exhibitions. The town itself was originally founded by the Romans and this is evidenced by the Arch of Augustus and other points of architectural and archaeological interest. It is on the sea and there are lovely walks to be had on the seafront and in the old town. A nice medieval town with surprisingly a lot of history a typical walled center and cobblestone streets. Some good restaurant around and a very laid-back population. Osteria della Peppa is a fantastic place to try some local food. The beaches are not great in the area though, for nicer beaches I would go south of Ancona and beyond.RobChahineItaly - 8.0Scored 8.0

Small but charming. - Walking distance to everything you need. - 30min-1h trip by train to some other places you might want to see, like Rimini, San Marino, Ancona. - Choices of both relatively cheap and more expensive restaurants. - A few nice museums and churches to visit.

Nice and calm town, but gets busy over weekend. Charming narrow streets between buildings. Lovely canal getting inside the town. Beautiful main square and suroundings worth seeing too. Fano is also a good base to trip around the area. It is located relatively close to San Marino (65 km), Rimini (55 km), Ancona (60 km), Urbino (45 km) and some other places. Fantastic spot.

A perfect combination of a busy italian town (not major city) and a beach community. Fano is wonderful for food, wine, shopping, sandy and pebble beaches, towns and mountains to explore close by, a place to relax and soak in culture of a beautiful corner of the world.

Very quiet and comfortable room, exquisite dinner and remarkable service with good wine suggestions and typical products. The breakfast was good, we could choose what we wanted to eat upfront and it was served at the table. Plenty of parking spots outside. Stunning views as the structure is uphill. We traveled with our dog and she was welcomed everywhere, restaurant and breakfast included. The hotel is close to the A14 highway and we chose it as a stopover in our journey.

Walking distance to the beach & old town. We would love to stay here again & feel we said good-bye to a friend & we were only there for 2 nights.

The staff were very thoughtful to our needs when travelling with a pet. Dinner was great with some awesome recommendations for local produce and wines. Breakfast was a really good spread. The two guys from dinner and the breakfast were great, very professional but also the right side of friendly. Will definitely stay again.

I have travelled far and wide but have never been treated like Burno and Antonella I had breakfast each morning in the lovely garden with the smell of jasmine all around me. My room was cleaned everyday the place was spotless. It is only a short walk to Fano Centre and the bus stop which will take you directly in Fano.
