A lovely hotel with great facilities and very nice staff. They have a very good restaurant. We had a wonderful view of Etna from our balcony. After some stressful driving in Sicily we enjoyed two quiet days by the pool.

This hotel is very good value for money. Lots of space for parking and the gates are closed for the night. Checking in was flawless and very fast. We got a big room with view to the Etna Volcano, amazing! Nice and cozy design, big bed, all toiletries provided. Small refrigerator in the room to cool down your drinks/snacks. Nice breakfast with optional hot food (eggs prepared to your liking), croissants with a cute filling station for them, fresh fruit, yogurts, good coffee. Nice breakfast room with lots of sun. The staff at the hotel made us feel very welcome.

The owner, Salvatore, is a very friendly man, who provided us with excellent breakfasts (granita) and service in general during our stay. I honestly think that there aren't any better options to stay in this region if you would like to experience the classic Sicilian culture. Furthermore, the train station is close to the bed and breakfast, making it ideal to travel between Taormina and Siracusa.

Giarre is not a great tourist attraction.
Giarre is not a great tourist attraction. However it is a great center for touring East Sicily. We found it very strange that Sicilians keep to their siesta even in winter. After sunset when it got very dark and a bit cold, we did not feel like going to a restaurant (they open at 6 or 7). So we cooked our dinners. Good for us, bad for them.

Catania Airport.Bad facilities for disabled. Shortage of staff,and wheelchairs.Many disabled elderly passengers had to stand for over an hour. Giarre was beautiful,and full of character and warm friendly people.The new Bistro in the grounds of the apartment was amazing,with wonderful food and brilliant service.Also relaxing background music.

Quiet desolate place with nothing to do. Boring. On the other hand, it mightbe idea for anyone looking for a quiet place out of the way to spend a few days doing nothing. Our place had a pool (against separate payment which we found odd as we were never asked to pay elswhere. Pool was open to kids so be aware of this.

Nice base if you would like to visit the Etna.
Nice base if you would like to visit the Etna. Also the coast is not far away and with half an hour with scooter you're in Giardini Naxos (which is also recommended if you like a fishers/seaside town with a nice beach). We stayed over at Giarre the days after we came from Catania to travel further to Taormina. Giarre itself doesn't have much to offer for tourists, but it's nice to see the more local center with less tourism and less traffic. We stayed at Moni Rooms for two nights which I would recommend to everyone who wants to visit Giarre!

The reception, the view, both towards Etna and Taormina, in the shade of the citrus trees with the fantastic cappuccino created by Andrea, it was simply heavenly. Lella outdid the impossible to prevent and solve any problem that arose, most notably a near Mission Impossible in relation to my daughter's health problem. The room was fine--minimalist but large enough and with an excellent shower, but the reason to stay here is the outdoors. The pool is extraordinary, large enough for lap swimming and surrounded by comfortable lounge areas--and a terrific bar. It is suitable for a family holiday. The owner Jessica is an extremely positive, smiling and responsive girl. I especially liked the high ceilings and the paintings there. There was enough place for 5 persons in this accommodation. There were 2 bathrooms, a kitchen with the most important tools, a beautiful living room with television and three bed rooms. Two bed rooms were really amazing containing balconies.
