Nice old part of the town, very cozy - you could also make a stroll to the old bridge just a little bit outside the center but reachable by foot - from here nice views to the center and the valley, Archeological area above. The train station is about 10 - 15 minutes walk from the old part of Gravina.

There were tourists, but not overwhelming numbers so you could see how native Italians lived their lives in public spaces. Giovanni was a wonderful host, attentive, warm and welcoming. He jumped right in to help us navigate the winding narrow streets of Gravina and find a convenient place to park our car while we stayed in the car restricted center of the city.JaneUnited States

The apartment is very cozy, with a well-functioning air conditioner and wifi. The owner Roberto is very nice. He showed us the remains of ancient buildings under the apartment, which he excavates himself. It was very interesting to see and hear Roberto story about his archeological excavations. It feels extremely luxurious with lots of marble in the bathroom and a mix of new and classic furniture. Even the wardrobes are handcrafted to fit the round ceilings. Everything is in great working order, too.
