Nice balcony where you can smoke in peace as olbia now has American like rules which do not make sense and are very bad for restaurant and cafe owners . Great shower with pressure, very nice landlady, very fair priced good location for olbia city center.

Olbia is all about the sea, and what a glorious turquoise sea it is. As the gateway to Sardinia’s stunning Emerald Coast, this down-to-earth town is often overlooked in favour of the more glamorous resorts. However, it does have attractions of its own.
The simple Basilica of San Simplicio dates to the 11th century and the Church of St Paul the Apostle is also medieval. The National Archaeology Museum houses Roman ships, as well as prehistoric artefacts from the surrounding area.
Sardinia has a wealth of prehistoric structures and one of these – the Tomba dei Giganti Su Monte‘e S’Abe – is near Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport and medieval Pedres Castle. Across the bay is Sa Testa Sacred Well, dating to at least 1200 BC.
Along the coast in Pittulongu are the real attractions – fantastic, unspoilt beaches from where you can see rocky Tavolara Island, a popular diving site. In summer, boats sail there from Isola Bianca Harbour, the arrival point of ferries from the Italian mainland. The harbour’s fishing boats are responsible for the fantastic mussels in Olbia’s seafood restaurants, some of which are amid bars and shops on Corso Umberto – the locals’ favourite passeggiata spot.
The Olbia accommodation on Booking.com includes luxury spa hotels, apartments near the beach and cheap B&Bs.

We stayed in Olbia for two nights when we arrived in Sardegna and three nights when before we departed. Olbia has all the services available you need including banks, supermarkets, restaurants, and green spaces. The city center has many shops and is clean and nice to walk around as traffic is not permitted during peak hours. There are numerous archeological sites and beaches within an easy drive from the city. The buses and trains run regularly. Very nice outdoor market on Tuesdays near the train station where you can purchase fresh local vegetables and fruit, meat and cheeses and souvenirs. There are several historic churches in town. The airport is small but well equipped with a variety of food options, drink and shops. Both arrival and departure went well.

Olbia is a practical town to stay in because you can travel by bus or car to Sardinia’s top attractions. There is a lot of action on the Corso Umberto and surroundings but overall I found only a few good places to eat. The airport is close and easy to reach via public transportation. All in all I would recommend it as a place where you spend the night but you plan your day to day visiting the amazing beaches and hikes.

If you are travelling around northern Sardinia then I would recommend a visit to Alghero rather than Olbia.
There are very few places of interest in Olbia and the traffic network is very hard to negotiate with confusing signage in many parts.

A trip to Olbia felt like visiting the 'real' Italy.
A trip to Olbia felt like visiting the 'real' Italy. Tourists per se are not specially catered for, although there are tours of La Maddalena from Palau, dolphin spotting etc.
But what you do get is a warm welcome from local people.
Lively bars, but not thumping clubs.
- and the food is amazing, with a particular focus on local delicacies as well as fresh fish and seafood.
Easy to get to local beaches (Bados and Pittulongu) which have beach bars. plenty of loungers and parasols to hire for the day. Turquoise waters, sandy beaches.

Olbia is near aeroport, port, beaches, attractions, resorts.
Olbia is near aeroport, port, beaches, attractions, resorts. Lovely evenings in the car-free corso (main road) with restaurants, bars, market, karaoke, entertainers, hotels. 15 minutes drive to amazing Porto Rotondo and San Teodoro.
La Cala is a tiny jewel. Although small, the apartment has every comfort, including separate AC units in the master bedroom and living room. It is conveniently located near restaurants, shopping, and the Costa Smeralda airport. Its private parking space is a few feet from the main gate. Andrea, our host, responded to our messages promptly. Despite a last-minute change of schedule and unexpected traffic delays, we were greeted with a warm welcome, typical of true Sardinian hospitality. We appreciate it. We had a lovely time. Thank you!
This absolutely lovely property, “villetta”, is a little but modern, fully equipped and just renovated beach front house, that delivers first class experience of Sardinia sea cost vacation life style. It is distanced from the beach just by the stone wall and shrubbery allowing visitors to the sea in 30 seconds! The beach is one of the best is the region, white sand with blue-green water, ideal for kids. Great place to spend summer holidays, totally recommended and the host is the nicest person on the planet! Thank you!!!
Review: Bright Spots: 2.5 stars, not 4!
This hotel had some definite positives but fell short of a true 4-star experience.
Cleanliness and Comfort: Here's a major win! The white linens were crisp, ironed, and a dazzling white every day. They truly elevated the sleeping experience. Location: Perfect for exploring! The hotel is conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from both Olbia city centre and the beautiful beaches of Pittulongu. This makes it a great base for sightseeing, relaxing on the beach, or both.
It only takes 5-10 minutes from this place to walk to the beautiful little old town of Olbia. Quietly located in a side street, Les Suites Magnolia is the best base for us to explore Olbia. From the airport you can get to the hotel by public bus without changing or by taxi for about 25€. Nice, bright rooms with modern bathrooms. The small, simple breakfast in the beautiful breakfast room left nothing to be desired with toast (cheese, sausage, egg), muesli, various cakes and delicious coffee.
Stunning view from balcony. Access to swimming pool. Air conditioning in every room. Kitchen has large freezer and oven. Many beaches in walking distance. Bus to Olbia almost every hour (€1.5). Taxi to airport costs €36. Owner speaks English, was easy to contact and very helpful when we needed a taxi service. Overall: great for lazy vacation and swimming enthusiasts, if you prefer travelling it might be difficult without a car due to distances and extreme heat in summer.
I unfortunately only had one night of my holiday left to stay in Olbia but had a great time staying at Eduardo's guest house. The communication was great, the location is not super central but a bit more quiet and still very close to the city centre and the airport. Eduardo welcomed me personally and answered all my questions, the room was super clean and the bed very comfy. Would stay here again any time if I'm back in Sardinia!
We stayed at this amazing place on the last night in Sardinia before flying back home and we wished we had stayed longer. Super clean chic room with a super comfy bed in an excellent location, 2 blocks away from the main street in the historic center. Our host was super responsive, service oriented and friendly. The terrace is very nice and on top of that they have shared kitchen facilities that are super handy. We will be back!
This hotel has lovely charm and is perfect if you want a nice base to explore the island. the staff were lovely, and the little welcoming touches were great, beach bag and towels, water in the room, room service exceptional. it’s a little out of the town but that’s great if you want a quiet and peaceful place to stay. breakfast has great options and the view from the pool is lovely. free parking big bonus for us.
The villa was immaculately clean, perfect condition. All needed amenities were present. Everything smelled very nice and clean. Absolutely gorgeous garden.
The host was very kind, gave us presents during check-in and even provided a beach-umbrella.
We rate Stazzu Sasimedda 10/10 and will 100% stay here again when coming to Sardinia. Do not hesitate and book it, you will get way more than your money is worth.
Amazing breakfast (delicious cakes, actually one of the best that we tried at various hotels furing our stay). The room was spacious (felt great after so many cramped tiny rooms we stayed at in Sardinia), bed was large and comfortable. The host was very nice. And on top of that free parking in the garden. Amazing place that we would deifnitely recommend and choose again.
I loved the location in the old town area, on a quiet street but very close to the main area of shops and restaurants. An excellent breakfast of a coffee and pastry was included at a nearby place. The room was in a really charming vintage building made of stone, nicely renovated so clean and comfortable. Good A/C
While in Sardinia you must try a Mirto Spritz!
The Staff where realy helpfull and professional. The most wolkomming Staff i have meet in Sardinia. Room where wery clean. The bed where good to sleep in. Staff where very helpfull making an romantic room. They cept luggage when we arriwed early and tiped us on where to eat. We have traveled for a week and this is the hotell that we liked the best in Sardinia.
The location and the shower was amazing, also communication with the host went really smooth. She was super helpful and gave us many recommendations to do in Sardinia. The appartment is also close to the bus stop (from the airport bus 2 or 10 get off at the Mameli stop) a bus ticket cost 1,50 euro. you can also go to different beautiful beaches with the bus!
The size of the room is big enough for two people. The bathroom is a bit older but the value for the money is ok. The room was clean and the staff was very polite and professional. The city center is 10-15 minutes walk away. There is a parking that is free. Breakfast is nice - typical Sardinian/Italian - sweet. :)
Amazing little beach, hotel provides (limited amount) of beds and umbrellas, lovely breakfast, very nice rooms; there were also outside shower facilities available which is always a bonus:)
The location is close for driving into Olbia and the airport. Our host was kind enough to pack us a box with breakfast breads since we were going to have an early flight before breakfast.
The general area is nice, close to the beach, close enough but not too close to the town, and not far from Olbia's airport.
It is also quiet and has a very nice beach restaurant.
The location of the hotel is a walking distance to the airport. Very convenient. The room is clean. The balcony is excellent with sunlight in the afternoon. Breakfast is good.
Nicer than we expected, this a pleasant and clean hotel not far from the airport and from downtown Olbia. good if you’re arriving late or have an early flight.
