The scenery was breathtaking. You have to go through a road in a forest to reach it and when you get there you cannot help be but astonished. But inside, the rooms are quite non-practical, even a little weird. The was no air circulating through the room, when you took a shower it was impossible not to get the whole bathroom wet, and no way to drain it properly. The furniture was quite old (but it went with the whole idea of old house), but a nail coming out of a door was a hazard. The breakfast wasn't very diverse. There was no coffee machine or water heater in the rooms or complimentary water bottles, and when there isn't a 24 h lobby/bar and the location is quite remote it can be a little inconvenient (I got a cold and I would of liked to be able to take the paracetamol that I had with me that needed hot water to be dissolved in). That being said, the personnel was very helpful when they were around.

I can only recommend to spend time at Le Fonti. On my bikepacking tour from Munich to Rome I stayed for one night and enjoyed a great dinner with ingedients from the Garden - delicious! The area and the garden is really beautiful. I will hopefully come back and spend more time there.

It is a lovely accommodation in the middle of the nature, close to Florence. Comfortable, with a very good breakfast. The apartment was ideally situated with the train station in walking distance and plenty of interesting shops to explore nearby. Our host was incredibly responsive and accommodating (thanks Alessio) and the apartment itself was well equipped with everything you might need. Especially for cooking with the amazing Italian produce we found within 5-10 mins walk. Out of our entire European trip, I’m pretty sure I had my best sleeps here! We had small children with us and they were very happy with the night-light that projected various constellations on their room’s ceiling.
