Walk and Relax Retreat - HOMY 5 TERRE, hotel in San Bernardino

Offering a garden and city view, Walk and Relax Retreat - HOMY 5 TERRE is set in San Bernardino, 2.8 km from Vernazza Beach and 24 km from Castello San Giorgio.

The location is absolutely fantastic! Easy to find, the walk through the little hamlet is very pleasant. It is high up in the hills with a beautiful view. Very remote and quiet. Instructions were spot on. Village has a little café that is open on weekends. Kitchen is very well equipped and electricity works very well.

Situated in San Bernardino and only 2.9 km from Guvano Beach, Seroa 1 features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

We were unable to stay at the property due to wild weather but Francesco was extremely helpful and suggested we would be safer in La Spezia and gave us a full refund - thank you!

Hotel Meublè Agavi, hotel in San Bernardino

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Hotel Meublè Agavi offers accommodation in Monterosso al Mare, in the UNESCO Cinque Terre National Park.

Very comfortable room right next to the water - the view is spectacular! Room is exactly how it is described in the listing - basic but comfortable and clean, all you need if you plan to spend a lot of time outdoors exploring as I did. The staff were lovely! The nice lady on reception (I forgot to ask her name) gave me great recommendations for local restaurants, walking tracks and good places to see. Not sure why this place has some poor reviews, if you want luxury then this isn’t for you but honestly it had everything you need for a short comfortable stay! And the location is 100/10 - a 5 minute walk through the tunnel to the old town of Monterosso and the beach literally at your doorstep. No aircon but the huge windows give more than enough beautiful see breeze to make up for this!

Hotel La Giada del Mesco, hotel in San Bernardino

Situated in Levanto, 1.4 km from Levanto Beach, Hotel La Giada del Mesco features accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace.

The staff were really friendly and made things really easy by picking us up on arrival in Levanto and again after dinner out. The room was lovely and the bar was well stocked with more food options than we expected. But the highlight by far is the pool and the setting, I can't imagine a nicer place to go for a swim than high in the hills above the sea at sunset! Absolutely stunning.

Hotel Il Saraceno, hotel in San Bernardino

Hotel Il Saraceno is located in the small village of Volastra, in the Cinque Terre National Park. It offers a rooftop terrace and rooms with free Wi-Fi access.

Location is good as you have free parking at the hotel and a short drive to the nearest public carpark at Manarola. Highly recommended for visitors with self drive. The rooms are very clean and neat. Great and friendly owner who prepared a great breakfast for us with yummy croissants, juices, yoghurt, hams and a wide variety of eggs such as scrambled eggs, sunny side up eggs upon ordered.

Great Appartment in the hills above the famous Cinque Terre villages. The Appartment is equipped with everything you need. Sabrina & Mattia are great hosts and surprised me with some welcome gifts (cookies, Pasta and Pesto). They provided a lot of tipps where to go, what to do and how to get around. A car is helpful but not necessary - a bus stop is only 500m away and brings you twice a day down to Corniglia which is connected to the train line. Or you just hike down the hills and enjoy the amazing views :)

I am writing this hoping it will help people understand how far San Bernardino is from Corniglia I am 65 and my friend is 69. Both of us are in pretty good health. I thought the apartment I rented for 6 days in San Bernardino was part of Corniglia but it is high up on the hills and without a car it is almost impossible to reach town due to the tiny winding roads and there are no night lights until you get to town. Going by foot to Corniglia takes 30-40 min. all downhill and coming up has been impossible due to the steep hills. Also once you park the car and start climbing the uneven stairs (some are very high) to the tiny apartment it takes a toll on the body! If you are a senior BEWARE! There were 90 steps to get to our rented apartment which equals to approximately 6 flights of stairs. Include all the suitcases etc. it's a very difficult task!
