Excellent shower, with really hot water and great pressure. Very good breakfast. The staff are very kind and helpful. Bus stop right outside driveway into Bellagio (5 mins away) or to Como if wanted. Very happy with our stay.

Located in Varenna and only 3 minutes on foot from Lake Como, Hotel Montecodeno is very close to a ferry boat stop. It offers free WiFi and rooms with views of the garden and mountains.

Breakfast was fine, good choice of hot and cold tables. Staff brilliant. Location brilliant. Hotel very traditional with large ceramic pots in hallways, old italian furniture. Decor in room quite nice. Nice old black & white tiling in the bathroom. Gardens at rear of hotel were also very nice. Old type lift took us to our room located on the 4th floor
