This place was incredible. The property was beautiful and so well kept. The owner, Alex, could t have done more to make sure we were comfortable in our stay and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He was really friendly, great with our kids and made us feel like we were at home. The rooms were so well decorated, the beds comfy and Alex had great recommendations for exploring the area nearby. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back in an instant.

This is a great base for your Chianti Classico visit.
This is a great base for your Chianti Classico visit. Head out on windy roads with each drop and rise opening views of vineyards, olive groves and honey colored houses. Taste test to your heart’s content and head out early to catch dinner in a medieval hill top town. Or, you could settle down with a glass in hand and read through that pile of books you brought along! Eat at Bar el Poggio or the La Toppa Trattoria in the Main Street, both are great. Parking is 5 euros a day or free, depending when you get there (be early!).

Beautiful and quiet area that is a short 15-30 minute vespa/car ride away from many popular Tuscan towns and Chianti vineyards. Also the perfect spot to take day trips to either Florence, San Gimignano, or Siena (each 30-50 mins away).

This property was stunning.
This property was stunning. We loved the views and surrounding scenery. It was peaceful and beautiful and the perfect holiday and we would have liked to stay longer. The shops are within driving distance and easy to find with lots of local produce to try. We loved the walks around the property and scenery. It was picture perfect and had everything we needed. My kids loved the pool and wide open spaces to roam around. We felt like the only people there. We went on lots of walks and early morning runs. It was simply stunning.

Such a cute little town with friendly residents and a wonderful restaurant...La Vecchia Piazza. Low-key and casual, with the best pizza we've ever had. We also appreciated that they had a separate menu in English, though some of the translations were amusing. Given we don't speak any Italian, we have no room to judge! We sat outdoors and were surrounded by mainly locals and a big table of Germans and it was lively and breezy. On the second night we went, there was a street festival with food, booths selling their wares, and musicians. Most everyone spoke at least a little English, but we were all able to communicate just fine.

Great location for exploring (we got to Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and various villages and loved them all) . Beautiful pool with the most amazing view. Well-appointed villa with plenty of space for our 6-adult group. Wonderfully authentic on-site restaurant experience (we ate there twice - both memorable, especially the one in the middle of an incredible thunderstorm!) . And everything made so much more special by Beatrice who is the perfect host - fun, warm, kind, full of useful advice, and a great ambassador for Tuscany.
We returned with pleasure to this wonderful location. While a bit far from various tourist objectives, the central location made Lucca, Sienna, Firenze and similar just at a good reach time.
Nice large rooms, well fitted and with efficient air conditioning.
The staff was polite and helpful and made a good impression. Since we travelled with our cat, they made sure that everything will be fine with cleaning but also with the cat.
Travelling by car is the best option to fully enjoy the Tuscan beauties.
We had a great time in La Capannina di Matteo! The apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable and had a nice terrace. Next to that the beds were comfortable and the pool was very clean and nice. Walking distance of good restaurants and a great bakery. We would definitely recommend to stay here. Employees Virginia and Isa were great, service was excellent, communication was very easy and really kind ladies.
The apartment as well as the premises are stunning. The host is very friendly, professional, and ready to assist.
You can find a supermarket (COOP) and restaurants nearby.
Easy to reach Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Greve, winery Antinori, and Poggio al Bosco.
Unfortunately, we visited in early spring and could not enjoy the pool and the view from it, but I am sure it is lovely in summer.
Very nice stay! Good location, breakfast and dinner were delicious, easy to find and easy access with the car. Wifi all around the location, in the rooms, at the pool... We also went to eat to Beatrice 's son and brother's restaurants (Barberino and Tavernelle) and both were very good!
The place was beautiful with romantic views and really well mantained, the swimming pools were lovely. The staff was really friendly and helpful. It was really easy to get to Florence, Sienna, San Gimignano etc. from Fattoria Pratale as it is quite close to a highway (no toll).
If you intend to visit the Chianti region, this hotel couldn't be more conveniently located. The hotel is welcoming and clean. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The pool is pleasant and particularly enjoyable because of the quiet. Breakfast was varied and satisfying.
Nice amenities of this hotel. Too bad the next door restaurant was closed, but the hotel staff was very friendly to get us some food from a nearby restaurant, as we were travelling by bike. Which was a great service and perfect quality.
Second time staying here so that says it all. Comfortable and convenient B&B. Attached restaurant serves breakfast as well as supper and the owner Katya is as good as it gets! Hope to be back soon. Gated parking area as well
Located in the Tuscan country side. Wonderful hotel to spend 2 or 3 nights. Lovely pool area to relax and enjoy the view. Hotel breakfast was amazing and dinner was really good too. No need to venture out for food.
Convenient location, plenty of parking, the owner of the house with a smile is always interested, delicious breakfast, everything is clean and tidy, restaurants next to the building
Very authentic, comfortable and spacious room. The hosts are wonderful! There is free parking just a short walk away. Beautiful views of the countryside from the terrace.
Susanna and Gergio have a beautiful, quiet and welcoming space from where our family could explore Tuscany.
Easy access to Florence, Sienna, San Gimignano, !Pisa..
