Bustling and thriving, really cool underground mall / restaurant alley next to the JR Okiyama station. Many dining options in that vacinity. I was only in town for eighteen hours, barely saw anything but had a nice visit on my way to the ultimate destination.

Very beautiful and underrated area of Japan.
Very beautiful and underrated area of Japan. All the sights were lovely and it’s a good area if you’re interested in history, and leisure outdoor activities. I’d recommend really planning out your time since the transportation isn’t as frequent as Tokyo and lots of places close pretty early around 5/6pm.

There were beautiful gardens in the city including the wonderful botanic garden. The castle was also interesting. In addition, Okayama is a wonderful place to stay with day trips to wonderful cities/sites such as Hiroshima, Kurashiki, Naoshima or Himeji Castle.

Besides having a few interesting sightseeing options of its own (castle, Korakuen garden), Okayama is a very convenient place to stop for a few days because it's close to other popular places to visit (Kurashiki) and a gate to visit northeastern Shikoku

Okayama itself is worth visiting to see, but it's especially good to use as a hub as it connects the north, south, east and west of Japan via the Shinkansen and local trains. It's particularly great as a base from which to explore Shikoku via day trips.
Everything was perfect. The capsule room was quite spacious. They also provide a safe cabinet for you to store your valuables (i can fit my entire laptop bag in it). The hotel is a 5 min walk to JR Okayama station which is very convenient. There is a private bathroom at the capsule area, also a sento (public bath) which I think they will change it everyday between men and women sento. Only 1 side have outside sento to soak in thus thats why I think they will alternate it. Sento also come with sauna, hairdryer, cotton buds and drinking water.
The hotel is abt ~10min walk from the JR Okayama station. It had alot of amenities such as free bicycle rental, portable wifi rental, help you send your lugagge and you can even buy a ticket for a onsen (the onsen is pretty far though). The staff are very friendly. If you are a solo traveller like me, you can buy takeaways from nearby convenience stores and heat it up. They have a microwave at almost every level and a laundry on some levels. There is matsuya and yoshinoya nearby as well. Would recommend staying here.
Probably the best location in Okayama - literally next to the station, a konbini and many bars and restaurants. Yet the hotel is nicely quiet, clean, comfortable and elegant. Staff speak perfect English, and is particularly helpful and warm to every customer. Breakfast was excellent and allows you to discover local products (as well as everything you would expect to see on a great breakfast buffet).
I would 100% return there if I were to travel to Okayama again.
love dormy inns and this one was great … comfortable clean and the onsen was brilliant one of the nicest hotel ones I had with an outdoor area. would definitely recommend this place Okayama made an excellent base for 5 nights with the JR pass I could easily get to Hiroshima, Naoshima, kibi plains and Kurishki. this region was fantastic and the dormy inn a great place to explore from as an easy walk to the JR station.
Liked this location - not too far of a walk from the train station and easy access to castle and gardens. Staff were very nice. If you didn’t need a full room clean - you could have 2 bottles of water instead. Easy to use laundry and never seemed too busy. Okayama a great location for a number of interesting options - Naoshima Island, Kihikihi bike trail, Hiroshima as well as the city’s own attractions
A number of staff spoke excellent English, the best we found on our three week trip.
Next door to an excellent Japanese/French bakery which opened at 8am.
On the Nishgawa canal which is beautifully decorated for Christmas.
Walking distance from Koraku-en Garden and Okayama Castle, both worth visiting.
The location is perfect. It's close to Okayama Castle and Karakoen Garden. Also accessible to a tram going to Okayama station. I love the table and chair in our room. Very useful when we had to work.We stayed at the 9th floor which gave a perfect view of the city.
This hotel has everything you need even for a long stay. Cabin is really nice, good public bath and other facilities. Enough space, not so crowded. Location is also great. Stuff is very lovely, everyone speaks English. Just great hotel to stay
Best APA hotel I have been so far. The staff at the reception was very helpful and spoke very good English. The facilities are very good and you also have Spa/onsen which is a bonus. Very close to JR station and to a nice shopping mall.
The best thing for us was the location. Given that we did many day trips from Okayama, being next to the train station was a plus. The hotel is completely western, so no many Japanese details. Beds were very comfortable. Staff amazing!
The location of this hotel next to the train and bus station makes it very convenient for travellers. The hotel is close to many restaurants and cafes - Okayama is great town for food and artisan wares.
clean, cozy and in the center of the city. even though it takes 15 mins on foot to okayama sta.
i love the japanese breakfast too.
staffs were friendly and even called me after my things left there.
Excellent hotel very close to Okayama Station. The room was a good size with usual facilities, flat screen TV , fridge , kettle etc and spotlessly clean . Bathroom modern and bright
it was an only hotel near Okayama station that offer 3 beds in 1 room. Space of the room is great with a nice price.
Staff was very helpful and replied my message so fast. :)
The hotel is well located for the station. The bedroom was very comfortable. The sento was relaxing. The breakfast was good. Stayed for 1 night on the way to Naoshima.
The hotel is as described on the listing, clean and cozy. It is near Okayama Station, Okayama Castle, Korakuen garden and many shopping places. Great value for money.
Great hotel with super spacious room. Connected directly to the Okayama station with Shinkansen, local trains, buses and taxis to get around. Delicious breakfast.
