Kalamunda House was very modern and spotlessly clean with heated entry floor and beautifully decorated. The Kitchen was well stocked with everything would need including a pod coffee machine. The hosts picked us up from bus stop and again for the return. Any questions/problems we had were answered swiftly and we really enjoyed our stay there. The walk to ski resort wasn’t too far maybe about 10 mins and the 7 eleven and Seicomart about the same, you can buy most everything from these 2 shops including many heat and eat meals. There are few restaurants around but we stayed in every night except one as it was so comfortable and warm after a days skiing.

Well organised ski resort, good range of slopes for intermediate skills. The on-site food options were ok, but the restaurants outside the resort (all located in one street nearby) were much better, delicious and good value. Need to book in advance as they are all quite small.

The Westin was fabulous in a beautiful location.
The Westin was fabulous in a beautiful location. The rooms were very comfortable with great views of the snow and mountains. There were a lot of shops, which were a short monorail ride from our hotel. The food at the Atrium restaurant was delicious including the breakfast and dinner buffetts. The food at the Japanese restaurant was superb if you are looking for a special night out.

One of the best stays I have had in years! The facility is amazing, you can't compare the residence stay with anything else you will find in Japan. Whether, groups of friends, couples, or families this is the best you will find.
Staff was professional and extremely helpful.
If you are a foreigner then, I would recommend no other place in Hokkaido.

The ski resort itself is full of all sorts of activities for families. The hotels at the resort are very expensive but have all the required facilities. There wasn't to many other options in the town itself to stay. Just enough snow this trip as season hasn't been up to normal.

This was my first visit to Rusutsu.
This was my first visit to Rusutsu. Residential areas a bit spread out from the snow fields unless staying in one of the big hotels, and options for food and entertainment limited, but fantastic slopes with plenty of options for both piste and off-piste, wonderful long groomers and nice bits of forest to enjoy.

Rusutsu has better skiing than Niseko due to less crowds.
Rusutsu has better skiing than Niseko due to less crowds. There is also more snow. The area is developing and there are a decent selection of restaurants to choose from. We prefer it to the crowds of Niseko.
Good location, just 8-10mins walk to the resort, many restaurants near by and two convenience stores. I think the house might be recently renovated so it was lovely new and clean, the view from the window is a plus.
Also they have the best management team and staff! super helpful and efficient, I left a few things behind, staff managed to hand over those items to my friend stay in other hotel on the same day. Thanks a million to them!
To be clear this is hostel style accommodation and thats what you get at hostel rates. BUT you get your own private pod style cubicle with power point and reading light.
Clean , well serviced bedding , great shower , food and drinks available, friendly staff, 7/11 and ski rentals at Amuse available a quick walk away. Quick walk to Rusutsu resort and free beautiful onsen..
I loved my stay here..
Very comfortable beds and excellent communication/services for a small bed and breakfast. A short 3-4 min drive to the village restaurants and ski resort and back whenever we requested a ride. The snow globe room was warm (even in very cold temps outside) and definitely large enough for 3 dudes plus all our snowboard bags. We all slept really well. Very kind and welcoming host and staff.
Great location super close to Rusutsu ski resort, with free parking at the front of the house. Super kind and friendly host, and much much greater value for money than staying at any of the ski resorts around. Definitely 10/10 would recommend, and if I'm skiing around Rusutsu again next year, I'll definitely pick this place again without thinking.
Stylish and top quality of the property, ski-in and ski-out, amazing large indoor and outdoor onsen pool, welcoming staffs, complementary breakfast at 5 restaurants to choose from.
There is a nice spread of kitchen in the unit, with a small fridge, pots and pans, ready for any chef at heart who prefers to stay in for a snowy wintry night.
the house is spacious and very comfortable for us a group of 8. is all very new and has 3 shower rooms so very convenient for a big group. all smooth with the hosts too. about 10mins walk to the rusutsu resort hotel/lift.
Got picked up and dropped off at Rusutsu Hotel Convention. The bus stop was 2 min walk away. Great value for the price and good alternative to the crazy expensive resort hotels.
The owners are super kind and nice! They pick up and send guests to the bus station and resort, with hot tea in the house that makes this place feel like home! Love it a lot!
Private country home With large open plan, dining , kitchen and lounge area magical location, overlooking Mount Yotei and only a 10 minute drive to Rusutsu ski Field
Super cute cozy lodge, close to ski resort with free morning and afternoon shuttle. Close enough to walk if needed, super nice staff. Will hopefully stay again!
