The hotel possessed a charm that we weren't used to seeing in the more modern business hotels that we stayed in. For starters, we weren't expecting such a huge lobby when we went up the second floor. It even had a giant statue of an emperor encased in glass.
The room, while old, was very clean and cozy. There were no problems with the shower and we all had a good night's rest.
The staff was very efficient and can communicate in English. They also helped us figure out the best route to the airport as we had an early flight out (we decided to take the free shuttle bus to Narita).
Finally, the hotel is situated in a quiet area. By around 9:30 pm, there was not a soul outside. Even though the nearby convenience store is some distance away, I had quite the peaceful stroll.
