We came to Udawalawe for the Elephant safari. We were surprised with this place. The pool and the garden give the jungle vibes, and it has a clean and simple design. The staff told us we were the first guests in a long time and they did their best to have it ready for us. We asked for lunch, dinner and beers and everything was taken cared of while we went to the safari. We spent the next morning in the pool and although we only stayed for one night was totally worth it.

The location of Dolagawa is magical. There is a river and a small waterfall where you can swim right next to the resort. We went to the Sinharaja Forest and the host arranged a 3-4 hour tour for us which was really nice. The food was good and the staff was welcoming, helpful and super friendly!

We stayed by the pool in a tent - spacious and very comfortable. The staff organised everything - safari and our onward transport - we saw so much wildlife and loved the fact we had our meals at the resort where the staff were so nice and attentive
