Lovely, modern, spotless, spacious property which was also centrally located. Also, we had the room with a private terrace and that was special.

Marsaxlokk is a very nice area that is perfect for anyone...
Marsaxlokk is a very nice area that is perfect for anyone who would like a very relaxed holiday. There are lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from. We ate at a different one every day so I can honestly say there isn’t a bad restaurant or takeaway there. There is a big market on Sundays with lots to see and buy but there are also smaller markets nearly every day. Marsaxlokk is also a great central location if you want to visit some of the popular attractions on the Island as none of the attractions are no more than 10-30min Uber ride away. We didn’t want to leave so we would definitely visit and stay in Marsaxlokk again

This is a perfect place to base yourself for a vacation in Malta. Marsaxlokk is a pretty fishing village with a great Sunday market and lots of quality restaurants. I would definitely recommend staying here rather than one of the resort towns such at St Paul's or St Julian's.

A beautiful fishing village with great fresh fish...
A beautiful fishing village with great fresh fish restaurants and good local boat trips. A daily market and a fish market on Sundays but very busy to get to by bus on a Sunday due to high demand. Great walks.

This is a charming traditional fishing village, most people...
This is a charming traditional fishing village, most people eat fish which is locally caught. The harbour front is used for a daily market and is transformed at night with most restaurants having tables on the waterfront. There are regular bus services to the capital Valetta, this takes around an hour at busy times, but 35 minutes when quiet. The buses also run to the airport. The town is served by a large Spar supermarket and scattered shops selling food drink, bottled water (essential as the tap water is chlorinated and not drinkable) Do visit the Sunday market, great value for money. The pavements can be uneven. The people are friendly and helpful. Our favourite restaurant was Roots on the seafront, prices were reasonable and the fish freshly caught. The portions are big, loved their chips too.

Pretty fishing village with lots of restaurants on the sea...
Pretty fishing village with lots of restaurants on the sea front. Market stalls during they day selling local food and Maltese craftwork and souvenirs. Magnificent church, inside and out. Village is prettily lit up at the seafront in the evening. There are some boat trips to take you to other parts of Malta. Being a fishing village, most of the restaurants were fish/seafood focussed, and a little on the expensive side (in my opinion) - so if you're not into fish there is very little choice. Good bus service to allow you to go to other towns, villages and Valetta. Also a regular bus service to/from airport.

Beautiful old harbour, daily market, fab location.
Beautiful old harbour, daily market, fab location. Plenty of harbour front restaurants which were very reasonably priced. Small daily boat trips to local caves, swim areas. Such a pretty, lovely place with friendly people
The location is central to the port as you can see it from the room's balcony. The room was spotless clean and cozy with a comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and a possibility to make oneself a cup of tea or coffee. The room was located opposite to the terrace which was almost quite neat. Extremely nice and helpful host - he was attentive, always ready to help and extremely friendly. There were a few different breakfast options which was also very much welcomed. Great place, would recommend to anybody wanting to stay in Marsaxlokk!
Jerome & Jakob run a well organised guest house, exceptionally clean, rooms very nice and cleaned daily. Breakfast selection plentiful. Guest house is situated near Marsaxlokk waterfront where there are many restaurants, a market and also small beach areas and on a main bus route to easily reach different parts of island. An ideal base.
Highly recommend and personally look forward to visiting again.
I highly recommend this place. The hotel is located on a quiet street close to the seaside promenade with authentic restaurants and a unique atmosphere. It's convenient for parking your car at any time, unlike other places on the island. Valletta is reachable by car in 15-20 minutes. Very clean and well-maintained. Good breakfast and fast internet. Friendly staff.
We really enjoyed staying at Duncan Guesthouse. The room was clean and spacious, the staff was extremely helpful and flexible, and the breakfast was super nice with freshly made eggs of your choice. The Marsaxlokk port was 3 minutes of a walk away, but still the guesthouse was quiet and we were more than able to rest there. We will hopefully return!
The property is very conveniently located within walking distance to the port. Stayed in Sciroco room, very spacious, with plenty of natural light during the day and a very comfy bed. The hotel was very clean and modern, front desk accomodating and helpful and the breakfast was diversified and replenished. Would definitely book again!
The host is extremely nice and accommodating, making sure you have you have everything you need. Breakfast was amazing. We only stayed for one night but still, he made sure we didn't miss out on the blue grotto and the charming port of Marsaxlokk. Thank you so much for showing us around Salvu!
The staff are very kindly and helpful. The breakfast is fine and we can choose from custom varieties. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The location of the hotel at the best point of the village. The landmark from the hotel rooftop teŕace is beautiful and you can find a pool here.
An absolute gem of a place in a lovely fishing village. Everything here was perfect -- from the location, the unique/spotless rooms and the helpfulness/friendliness of management, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Marsaxlokk (...or the whole of Malta). Perfect!
Hotel is in a nice small village, spacious room with refirigerator, clean room, plus they sent a driver to pick us up at the airport for free. The breakfast was basic and the same every day but ok. I recommend it to travelers who wants vacation away from the city crowd
The property is situated in the centre of Marsaxlokk, overlooking the harbour. Mariella is a friendly and welcoming host who made us feel at home. Our room was spotlessly clean and the option of having breakfast in the room is a thoughtful and appreciated one.
Wonderful property, warm, hospitable hosts, great breakfasts! Great set-up for a beach and foodie holiday; Marsaxlokk has the best seafood we’ve ever eaten. Duncan Guest House provided everything we needed for a fantastic stay in southern Malta!
Very nice brand new modern apartment with everything you need. Beautiful terrace and the centre of Marsaxlokk can be reached in 5 minutes. Above all Alex is an amazing host and is available for all questions before and after checking in.
A very clean apartment with a beautiful balcony view of Marsaxlokk with everything needed for a great stay. Michelle and the staff at Quayside are very friendly and helpful, and i would definitely recommend staying at Quayside.
Very good location, value for money stay, excellent personnel, highly recommended. Marsaxlokk has easy (with taxi apps) and cheap (about 8 euros) connection from Airport and direct communication (bus 81) with Valetta.
we stayed 6 nights at the Shipwright’s Lodge. Absolutely fantastic. Fabulous location in Marsaxlokk. quiet. comfortable beds. Great breakfast. Quaint family run and new and fabulously clean. Highly recommended.
Comfortable and quiet place to stay in Marsaxlokk, few steps from the waterfront. Beautiful views of the harbor from the breakfast room. Plenty of street parking around the accommodation in mid-September.

We needed budget stay for 1 night with 4 beds and we got it.
The lady who manages the property is really nice, willing to help you with anything at anytime. The location was also really great, close to the center of Marsaxlokk.
