The way the hotel is built up is definitely something special (on a small hill). The replacement of elevators with an internal transportation within the complex is a very comfortable and practical solution!. It was simply a very pleasant experience.

The place actual name is “FLAMINGOS”.
The place actual name is “FLAMINGOS”. Initially a very sour taste because doorman kept wanting to send us away to another Flamingos who knows where. Our main host did respond but it was quite a delay because he claimed reservation was not received from booking.com. I’d been on the road 5hrs, it was getting dark & the doorman sending us away. The “on site” host never answered phone call nor. text. I had to call main host & booking.com representative somewhere overseas with very bad broken communication. After it was all cleared they finally let us in. As for the villa it’s good, clean & safe. My only disappointment was THERE WAS NO DRINKING WATER, so bring your own water/food. Later I learned that you can buy water from the kiosk. This is not a resort but a private villa so DONT expect much other than access to the villa & pool. There is an OXXO store within walking distance has lots of goodies. Right across oxxos is the beach access. Get a body massage at the beach cabin IT WAS AWESOME. Do not eat at the nearby restaurant “Bugambilias” the next restaurant “Soletado” further down the street is where you want to eat, trust me on this one the host will receive you like family with great staff & their food is wooohoooooooo I LOVED IT.

Very hard to get a lounge chair!!
Very hard to get a lounge chair!! They need to police the saving of chairs all day & never getting used & people wanting one to sit on.
Also very hard to find out which restaurant is open which day.
Told we must phone & make a reservation at the front desk for the Italian restaurant. We did that twice, made the reservation for a certain time but when we arrived it wasn't even open that day! Frustrating.

Since the beach is the main attraction, I would say it’s the only reason to visit; there aren’t any other main experiences there apparently
Getting around is easy, no traffic; but no Uber or any other cab apps available on location; the same goes for courier apps. You literally go there for relaxing on the beach and enjoying the view, beautiful sunsets

The price I was quoted by booking was not the price I paid, they said that for me to get the booking price I should have paid it at the time of booking, booking told me to pay at the hotel! Not impressed they charged me 1400 pesos more than the booking rate. I will not use either again.

I was not a fan of Ixtapa.
I was not a fan of Ixtapa. There were so many rude people there, the food was atrocious. Every restaurant we went to, one of us had issues with, except one breakfast place. (and we are seasoned travelers and very easy going) They did have night clubs, but we didn't go, not our scene.

Ixtapa is the best kept secret of North America!
Ixtapa is the best kept secret of North America! Weather is consistent, people are friendly, felt safe walking about. Enjoy the peace and quiet. Also, no commercialization here! A real bonus in experiencing Mexico!
Very comfortable bed, little balcony overlooking the pool. Room 210. Lots of channels, big modern TV. Good AC system. Spacious resort facilities, but not on the beach, so mercifully free of the hordes of screaming children and belligerent families. Pretty decent food and cocktails at the attached restaurant. Little convenience store in lobby was handy. Restaurant area open and surrounded by plants, very pleasant. Apparently there is a laundry facility on the upper floor for guests, wish I knew that sooner. Good value
All rooms have a great ocean view.. 3 great pools (kids separate) so adult pool was adults only.. We are return visitors so we think that this is the best hotel in Ixtapa and wouldn't stay anywhere else.. Although just on the edge of town, getting around is no problem for walking, cab, or local van.. The setting for Las Bresis is absolutely fabulous . Always a cool breeze in the main entryway and bar for some reason... Wouldn't change hotels for any reason..
The location was great, the hotel very nice, the food very good (mostly Mexican in the mornings and afternoons, and some international cuisine as theme dinners at night), and the pool pleasantly warm and not cold at all. As a Mexican myself, I can say that I enjoyed my stay here very much and my whole family feels the same way. The hotel organised many activities, such as a free dolphin show, dance classes, etc.
The hotel has three pools, one is for adults only and is wonderful. The beach is small but very private and unique. The beverage service was wonderful and what I liked most about this hotel is the ease of access for the elderly or mobility impaired to all areas. The hotel has elevators and ramps throughout the facility. And finally, the coffee spot is just great.
The hotel is not in the hotel zone it is in a residential neighborhood. The outdoor spaces are nice for relaxing, the room was comfortable and we never heard people in adjacent rooms. We ate at the restaurant twice and it was adequate. We were very surprised at how nice it was for the price.
The location was quite central in Ixtapa. Very easy to get onto the collectivos to go to various beaches and to Zihuatenejo. The pool was very nice - I am a swimmer and brought my flippers and goggles and very much appreciated the pool.
Great staff. Very nice and polite. Some language barriers but was ok.Hotel was clean most of the time. Could use some cleaning under the beds. Had a cockroach in our room. But we understood this happens sometimes in hotels.
Super location. We dined at a different restaurant every night for 2 weeks. All were located right across the street. Best beach in the area. Fantastic sunsets. We liked that we could walk up the stairs to our condo.
this is a wonderful place to stay it’s a whole lot better than hotels more space an amazing swimming pool i loved everything about the place. i will comeback in the future. staff super friendly
