Just across the street from the Uxmal Pyramids, and a 40 minutes' drive from Merida. This historic resort offers an outdoor pool and a working plantation filled with fruit trees and jogging trails.

At the Uxmal archeological site. Big hotel. Our room (suite) was huge and comfortable. The pool was very pleasant. The restaurant of their sister property was just a few minutes walk.
Amid the Yucatan jungle, Uxmal Resort Maya offers an outdoor swimming pool, wading pool and free Wi-Fi connection throughout the property.

Uxmal Resort Maya offers accommodations that meet basic Mexican standards. The hotel is conveniently located just 3 km from the archaeological site, making it an easy walk for those who want to go to the site by walk. We recommend visiting the site around 3 pm, just before closing time. During our visit in May, the temperatures were unbearably hot, but this time of day was slightly cooler and much less crowded. After exploring the ruins, we found the hotel’s pool to be a perfect place to relax and cool off. The rooms are spacious and equipped with air conditioning, and ours had a lovely view of the Uxmal ruins in the distance.
Located a 5-minute drive from Santa Elena town, Eco-Hotel Nueva Altia offers lush tropical gardens, an outdoor pool and palapa dining room.

My family and I enjoyed our stay a lot. Waking up with the sounds of birds, jumping in the swimming pool and do yoga before a well done breakfast. And the service was top level.
Posada El Jardín is an eco-friendly property that offers free Wi-Fi in public areas, sun terraces by the outdoor pool, and a palapa that serves coffee for a fee.

Perfect location, hideaway in the village, surprisingly quiet. Nice pool in the middle of a garden. The host was always ready to please you. Authentic village with plenty to discover around. Would go back
Set a 2-minute walk from the traditional village of Santa Elena, The Pickled Onion Eco-Boutique B&B features charming thatched bungalows, an outdoor pool and a restaurant.
Spent about 3 hours at Uxmal site. Lots of large sites to see and you can wander at your own pace. It was my favorite of the sites we visited on the trip. Tickets and entry could be clearer and signage at sites in Mexico is always lacking, but the quality of the ruins and architecture is fantastic. The scale, intimacy of the visit, and amount of ruins is superb.

To really get to experience Mayan culture, the near by towns and cenotes and more archeological sites I would recommend a week in Uxmal .
I loved every minute we were there .
I would also recommend having a much spending money as possible, not because things are expensive it is that there is so much to do and it will cost money .
Horse riding , vintage 4WD hire , the prices for the sites and tours has risen due to the pandemic .
Also supporting local artists .

The site is wonderful and the hotel was surrounded by orchards birds flowers amazing palms. A couple of small interesting local museums with animals local Mayan customs and chocolate cultivation. The Lodge restaurant which also belonged to the hacienda estate was a short walk and of a high standard.

We traveled by car because my older sister has specific food needs due to ALS. A blender, two boxes of food and a cooler were graciously hauled to and from our room by the hotel staff. They could not have been more accommodating and helped to supplement her diet with fresh food from the kitchen.
It was my sister's fifth and probably final trip to the awe inspiring sites of the Yucatan. We are so grateful for the experience.

Uxmal charges US citizen 4 times regular admission.
Uxmal charges US citizen 4 times regular admission. Hotel Uxmal Maya charges 33% more for using US money or cards. Do not go if you don’t want to feel ripped off. Nothing special about hotel as at every turn you have to be guarded about being ripped off.

The bed was very firm and the hot water took a little longer than I would like but everything else was just fantastic. The food was amazing the staff tried to help us find anything we were looking for. It was a nice welcoming place to stay
Everything - from start to finish - was great. We were met by the concierge while still in the car, who spoke good English and walked us through the process of registering and getting the room key. The place was nearly empty - assuming due to the Covid scare - so we shared the entire complex (a fairly large property) with maybe 10 other couples / families. It was like having your own private resort. There were probably just as many staff working as there were guests, so everything was in tip-top shape.
The location is 10/10. It could not be more convenient for visiting Uxmal first thing in the morning before the crowds arrive and the weather gets too hot. The hotel buildings are attractive and in keeping with the jungle surroundings. We liked the rustic chalet but it might not be to everyone's taste. Weirdly empty when we stayed in late July - there cant have been more than 20 guests in the entire hotel. But this meant for a very quiet stay and we had the pool to ourselves.
The grounds were wonderful and right next door to the amazing site of Uxmal. Two very pretty swimming pools. I was the only swimmer due to the lack of customers. (Good for me, a shame for the ground staff and hotel. Pandemic review) The room was spacious with some beautiful timber work. Large, comfortable bed. Dining at the restaurant; big, fresh breakfast and in the evening there's a sound and light show next door that drifts its magic drums and singing over.
Great location within walking distance of Uxmal ruins. We also spent time walking in the plantation around the hacienda.
Dinners were excellent at the eco lodge nearby. An unexpected pleasure was the choco museum and planetario video show. Lovely to read the history of the hacienda and see pics of famous guests in the 60's and 70's including princess grace and lots of european royalty.
Gorgeously landscaped pool area, views of the Uxmal pyramids from the top floor rooms, reasonable food and drink prices. Nicely renovated bathroom. This place is not perfect, but if you want a great pool and can get a good rate, jump on it. It is quite a good value if you are okay with a 1970s-era hotel that is only partly renovated.
We were upgraded to hotel "the Lodge", on the other side of the street. This review is for the Lodge:
The location directly in front of the Uxmal ruins was amazing; just a 2 min walk.
The overall setting, verandas in front of the rooms and pools was great! Definitely worth an extra night.
The location next to the Temple Uxmal. The pool was very nice and relaxing. The breakfast was good (eggs, pancakes, fruits, cereals..) even if very expensive (21euros) but I guess this is the price to pay in the middle of the jungle to have pancakes !
Hotel close to the Mayan site of Uxmal, but far from any city activity: the closest town (15 km) is Santa Helena. Difficult to eat somewhere in the evening except at the hotel.
welcoming and friendly staff.
free parking on site.
The hotel is located close to the entrance to Uxmal. The pool was huge, clean, and no one else in it when we were there. Our room was very comfortable.
