The view & location wee great.
The view & location wee great. The property was absolutely falling apart. To point that it was dangerous. We were electrocuted by the light switches. Part of the concrete balcony fell down the cliff. This place is not safe.

Very different according to what day of the week you go.
Very different according to what day of the week you go.
At weekends and holidays it gets very busy indeed with nudists and gays, who can be very overt with flaunting themselves, plus partying through the night until 4am making a lot of noise.
The rest of the time it is a beautiful place with nice sea and restaurants along the beach and very nice people

Beach is beautiful.
Beach is beautiful. Water is good for swimming, however there were some occasions when there was sewage sludge in the water. Nudist beach which was interesting. Can be too much with exhibitionism especially at either end and can be very noisy late afternoon to 4am.

Zipolite is beautiful and interesting.
Zipolite is beautiful and interesting. My husband and I like to walk and/or swim a lot on our holidays. We were disappointed that we could not swim in the ocean and walking was risky on the narrow 2-lane highway running through town, particularly since there were few sidewalks. The grocery stores were reasonably priced and Roca Blanca was a delightful little oasis of small shops, artisans and restaurants.

This is an end of the road old hippy beach town with no corporate presence. No big hotels or chain anything. Frankly it is kind of a dump and has no history, not even a fishing village claim. The beach and ocean are beautiful, but the entire coastline here is not suitable for swimming or even dunking. Very hot and humid even during my stay in early Dec 2023. Lots of massage, yoga, and alternative lifestyle things going on here. Lots of restaurants, bars and coffee places. Easy to just walk around the village. Just outside the village and up the hill are some better hotels with pools but high prices also, 200usd. If you want typical resort life you will be happier in Puerto Escondido area.

Best beach in the area. Not a lot to do .
Best beach in the area. Not a lot to do . The food at a few restaurants are way above average. Two amazing ice cream shops. And two different bank machines for cash withdraws. Smoke is easy to find and casual.
Although our friends recommended staying in Mazunte, we decided to try Casa Sol given the great reviews, and it didn't disappoint. Was the nicest place we stayed at during our entire trip. Amazing bilingual staff that could help organize / book things. Tasty breakfast. Fantastic rooms / views / pools / wifi / hot water. A tiny beach is just in front, and they have snorkel gear, chairs, umbrellas, and towels to use. Zipolite beach is a nice 5-10 minute walk away. Would 100% go back.
Corinna is a most excellent host. Friendly and helpful with lots of local advice. She also wanted to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay at her hotel. She even arranged for our cab ride back to the airport. The location is really close to the beach and some excellent restaurants. The hotel has a wonderful, tropical charm to it. Our room had air conditioning which helped on warm nights, and there is a lovely little private patio with a hammock which we enjoyed.
Point by point:
• The location is fabulous: right on the beach, and away from the noisy part of Zipolite, but only a five minute walk to the main street.
• The rooms are great and well looked after. There was no hairdryer, but it's quite useless there because of the humidity anyway.
• The staff is attentive and helpful, but not everyone speaks english (was never a problem)
• In general: one of the best clothing-optional places we ever stayed at!
new, clean, the staff is super kind, food is delicious and not expensive at all, perfect location, amazing service at the beach, totally recommend it.
they were super helpful with my transportation from and to the airport, I lose my flight and arrived to different airport, they helped me with that too in short notice and at good price. the rooms have good AC, very important in. Zipolite.
The room is awesome, with great views and confortable, excellent to enjoy and relax. The location of the hotel is great, and the restaurant and bar are very nice as well. During our stay, there was not out loud music, as i read on other comments. I would recommend this place and for sure it would be my option to come back to Zipolite
The staff were all very sweet and made the best margaritas in zipolite ;) I loved being right on the beach and in the centre of town. The cabana with sea view and balcony was cute, peaceful. I felt very relaxed. Hammocks in the shade outside. There was a powerful fan in the room which was a bit loud but worked well in the humidity
El alquimista is by far the best hotel in Zipolite. It has great, friendly and attentive staff. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and amazing, they are spacious and have everything you need. The restaurant is also very good, it has a nice range of mexican traditional dishes and a variety of international cuisines.
The location is great. It's just a 10-minute walk down a lit path to get to the main street (and beach) of Zipolite. The room is spacious, the bed is very comfortable and the Wi-Fi reception is strong. The tap water is drinkable, which is very handy. Also the room had a coffee machine with delicious coffee!
Hotel is located at a part of the beach where many congregate and they have a nice covered section with hammocks and chairs and an overall fun and tranquil atmosphere. The owner is very friendly and around if you have any issues, he is a native English speaker which is also very helpful.
The infinity pool was refreshing and beautiful with a stunning view of Zipolite beach and the ocean. The house and terrace are gorgeous with perfect sunrise mornings over the pool. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and every room has it's own charm. Will definitely return and recommend:)
lovely place In zipolite, everything in walking distance, super clean and comfy bed, just a few minutes from the beach… will definitely stay here again when back in zipolite. very nice balcony with ocean view and free coffee in the morning. you can’t go wrong with this place.
Very beautiful hotel and wonderful service. It is situated in a great spot in Zipolite. The restaurant has good food. The staff was quick to respond to our needs. Our bedroom had a spectacular view of the sea. We look forward to coming back here again one day.
the ultimate location in Zipolite, the main street with all the shops and restaurants on one side and the hotel's hammocks with sea views on the other side. The rooms are fine and for an good price. Usually quiet nights with just the sound of the waves
We have stayed at the Posada Mexico already 4 times because we like it so much. Everything is quite simple but you do have everything you need, including the beach right in front of the hotel. It’s just perfect for a relaxing holiday.
the naturalness of the rustic setting. feels like Mexico. staff is friendly and helpful. it’s clean and the location is close enough to the beach and town without being too close. the wood ceilings and thatch roofs.
Amazing place to stay when visiting Zipolite. We rented a house with a pool nearby, which we could enjoy as soon as we opened the doors. We also had a delicious breakfast at the hotel. We liked everything.
Was here for three nights total. Great location as its on the Main Street of Zipolite and it also faces the beach. All I had to do was walk outside my room and the beach was a few steps away.
Right on the beach and exactly what I needed for a last minute get away to Zipolite! Stay was super friendly and accommodating and I even got a room upgrade!
