The Amberley Hotel is an "Oasis" on the out-skirts of Christchurch. Arriving on a late afternoon flight my wife & I just wanted to get out of Christchurch & avoid the "Knock-Off Traffic" around the City. A short 45mins north is the wee town of Amberley & the Amberley Hotel is a good first night stopover after a tiresome day of travel. There are soft beds, good food & cold beer. What more could one want?

We are of retirement age, and loved the peace and quietness of this beautiful well maintained motel. Not many places to have dinner at night, but lots of takeaways or dine in at the takeaways. Easy walk to the town from the Motel.BruceNew Zealand
