Loved the 24/7 open use of the hot pools. Room was very clean and tidy. We were on a roadtrip from Waikato to Wellington and this was a great location for an overnight stop.

Gave the kids an experience of the late 80s/early 90s in the decor dept. 😉 However it was very clean throughout and had comfy beds. Very friendly, helpful staff who were able to advise of an alternative place to swim with their own pool being out of action. Great value for money. House was warm and dry with the heat pump provided

Stayed in the fake vw campers. Really cozy even when it's cold because of the electric blanket. Facilities close by and very clean. Proximity to the lake is great- lovely views in the morning.

Beautiful place to stay - we were in a Chalet and it was cozy, comfortable and warm. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the colourful trees in Autumn are stunning! The river is right in front of the property and you can do the Tongariro River track straight from the lodge (although a little signposting would be helpful as we got a bit confused trying to find it). The staff were so sunny and helpful - a real pleasure to deal with. They cooked us a wonderful breakfast which we ate in front of the fireplace :) Would come back to stay here in a heartbeat!

Wonderful spot with great staff. There's a fireplace to get warm and cosy, the kitchen is well equipped and everything is very clean and has a great atmosphere.
