Comfortable beds, clean linen and towels, breakfast was included: coffee and sandwiches, there was free parking. However, there was a strong sewer smell in the bathroom, it was impossible to stay there, there was no soap. We booked a room with 1 double bed , but received it separately. For one night stay it is quite acceptable, if you remove the smell in the bathroom.

Swidnica is a great base if you want to explore the mountains along the Polish-Czech borders, but it's also a very interesting town (pop. 57,000) in its own right. It has easy-going, friendly people and everything you might need in terms of food and shopping (even its own shopping centre). It's easy and pleasant to walk around. A beautiful city with heritage landmarks, a significant cathedral, lots of history. Well maintained parks, great taxi services. The city square is a pleasant place to walk, shop, and sit outside in the cafes. Still have local farmers bringing in fresh produce on the square. Amazing. 90 minutes to major ski resort Szklarska, which is beautiful in summer.

Our room was in the hotel (not an apartment). We were more than pleased with the hotel. The rooms were large and clean. The bathroom was modern and clean. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of food. The staff was friendly and dressed in traditional costumes. Parking was in a secured lot. Our room had air-conditioning but we did not need it. It is right next to the Swidnica Peace Church and the whole complex is restful. Parking was available, breakfast was plentiful, and WiFi good. It was only a 4-5 minute walk to the main square of Swidnica for plenty of meal options. Service was very friendly and helpfull. Room was very nice, comfortable and had all we could ask for and more. I highly recommend both Karczma (restaurant) and hotel (Zajazd) for stay here to explore Świdnica.
