First of all, the owner of the Club is the manager: he is there and on top of everything. He is a wealth of information. His advice to visit Évora was spot on. Secondly, the place is gorgeous both architecturally and naturally.
The beach and rock formations are stunning. The antiques throughout the hotel are gorgeous. Breakfast was not only nutritious but so generous.
Finally, the restaurants nearby offered great options and a variety of vibes. Loved this place and we will hopefully come back! Written by Richard's wife Mercedes

a cute quiet town with wonderful walks and beaches.
a cute quiet town with wonderful walks and beaches. Nice restaurants and bars and just enough shops for a potter around. Very easy to get around with all the boardwalks linking the town and the beaches. Lots of wonderful fish and seafood restaurants. A bit quiet for a family for more than a week unless you relish R&R.

Alvor is a lovely place to holiday,There is a boardwalk right along the beach and down to the nature reserve at one end. There are so many lovely restaurants and there is plenty of choice of types of meals on offer. We particularly like the restaurants servig Portuguese food and the fish restaurants by the harbour.
There is a local bus to Portimao and it is also possible to visit other places by bus.

I really liked Alvor - a small quiet town for relaxation.
I really liked Alvor - a small quiet town for relaxation. Picturesque coastline, friendly residents, many places to eat deliciously. A convenient place to visit the whole Algarve - Alvor is in the middle. The most beautiful place in Alvor for me is the old town and the beach. We ate a lot of seafood. Great local food, wine, coffee bike. We visited the farthest point in Europe, Cabo da Roca; the highest point in the Algarve - Monchique. I would love to come here again.
Breakfast was great with a pianist every morning!! the staff were amazing. Location is great. We walked to Alvor most evenings - around 2km but an easy stroll. we also hired a car and visited Faro, Lagos, Loule and Sagres. We also did the Benagil caves. beautiful and all well worth it.
You have private entry to the beach but they are all public beaches by law (respect!). Be aware that you need to book any sun lounges in advance or take a parasol with you. Call the hotel. the staff will help.
The apartment was amazing! The photos do not do it justice! It’s so clean and has all the facilities you need! As well as a swimming pool.
We really enjoyed our stay, the location to alvor is about a 15 minute walk but every hotel and apartment is. You can also get a Uber for around 2-4 euros which takes about 5 minutes which was useful!
If you want to stay in a quiet peaceful please we highly recommend staying here! Alvor and the beach’s are beautiful! All take about a 15 minute walk.
Beach is a 2 minute walk from the villas. You have the use of two pools one at the villas and one at the hotel. Small supermarket is a 2 minute walk, and a 3 minute walk to bus stop. Beautiful 15 minute walk along the boardwalk at the beach will take you into Alvor center. And there are bars and restaurants 10 minutes walk from the hotel/villas, recommend
Al Dente. There are a number of bar/restaurants along the beach. The villa was cleaned daily and the hotel/villa complex was clean and tidy.
The location isn’t good
far from city central and civilization
the beech bridge is nice touch.
the cost is quite expensive considering the food isn’t good we had to eat outside because of that and take a long drive to find something. hopefully to gt before 22:00 because this is the closing time😖
the place is beautiful clean and comfortable. it has a pool for adults only se it’s nice. in nice indoor pool.
mostly family hotels with a lots of kids
not for couples in my opinion.!
A wonderful hotel which is a 10-15 minute walk away from the center of Alvor. We stayed in a very comfortable and spacious 2 bed apartment with self catering facilities and a lovely top floor terrace. The pool was very clean and the sunbeds were new so very comfortable. The staff, particularly Kate and Luri are fantastic ambassadors for the hotel, nothing was too much trouble and Beatrice at the bar, was also wonderful. Thank you all.
Spotlessly clean, high standard hotel standard apartments. Very spacious, comfortable beds. Great Central location. Amazing staff especially the lady who worked at the snack bar who my boys adored. Best chips in Alvor! Amazing pool much bigger and spacious than the pictures. Plenty of shade at the pool and beds always available.
Right on the ocean, through the gate puts you directly on the boardwalk that goes a long way. We loved our daily walks on it. The breakfast was among the best I’ve had. Everything was available. Our servers were so nice and friendly. The hotel is clean and for the non beach lovers, there’s 4 pools.
the hotel is a low raise building nearly on the beach, just a short work along the boardwalk, breakfast is more suited for Europeans than British however all was good. very good for families as there's a few pools with loungers
the village is approx 20 minutes away on foot, 5 minute taxi ride.
The facility is spacious, with access to a beautiful beach, pool and other amenities. Foz Club was more like staying at a friend's villa than staying at a hotel. It was quiet and uncrowded. We enjoyed meeting and talking with the owner. It was a most surprising and pleasant experience.
it was a lovely Quinta converted from an old orphanage. completely fenced in and gated, but absolutely walkable into beautiful Alvor and to the amazing beaches. modern and clean!! with wonderful animals that stayed in our apartment with us! (kitty and elder dog🥰)
Great location and good sized room. The entire hotel was very clean. Isabella was wonderful from check-in to check out. All the main bars, restaurants and shopping in Alvor are easily walkable from the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent.
People in location are friendly as most Portuguese are but there is not a lot to see except you are going to stay on the beach and have place to sleep. Alvor compare to other Algarve cities is not very attractive and you need to go to other places.
Beautiful Hotel to stay at. Very friendly & helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious Spa facilities are great. 10 mins walk downhill to Alvor village. 15 mins walk to Alvor beach. Classes in the morning were Brilliant. Highly recommend this hotel.
The room was nice and clean and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is pretty close to the Tres Irmaos Beach (10-15 minutes by walk) which is one of the most beautiful places I visited during my trip in Portugal.
Great location, beautiful rooms and hotel facilities, beautiful and relaxing pool. Loved the free Pilates classes, really makes your experience much better. Hotel staff was super nice and breakfast was delicious.
Just outside the town of Alvor, so nice and quiet. The rooms are a great size with a nice sofa, large fridge freezer and everything you could need. The hotel wasn’t busy and staff very polite and helpful.
Fantastic location on the beach and a short walk into Alvor. The hotel has been completely refurbished. All the rooms and public areas are light, airy and modern.
