A nice hotel in a convenient location with parking. A short drive into town but not convenient to walk. The hotel had good facilities. Breakfast was good.

We love staying at this hotel: beautiful grounds and views also rose courtyard and outdoor pool area; hotel is filled with history and character; beautiful and cosy living room;, our favourite common area is games room and this time we discovered another secret billiard room. Staff is very nice and welcoming. Comfortable bed / pillows and soft bed linen. Slippers/ robes provided in the room; nice toiletries. We stayed in the annex house (cross hill). During summer , you have advantage of enjoying views sitting on the little terrace outside the room. This is definitely a special place to spend special time.
